Complete Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock tracklist revealed?

Activision's latest music game said to rock 93 tracks from artists ranging in style from Arch Enemy to ZZ Top.

Source: Enthusiast gaming and music message forum Gamertagradio.

What we heard: This fall, competing music game franchises Rock Band and Guitar Hero will release new offerings. Each game's respective soundtrack will likely play an important role in gamers' decision to purchase one or the other. And while Rock Band 3's final, 83-song tracklist is still largely a secret, all 93 songs in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock are now believed to be known.

The official story: As of press time, Activision has not responded to GameSpot's request for comment.

Bogus or not bogus?: Looking not bogus. Every confirmed track thus far is listed above. Plus, though well short of a confirmation, Activision's decision to yank the video from YouTube does give the impression that the publisher feels the information is worth hiding. With the game's release date pegged for September 28, Guitar Hero fans will learn the official tracklist soon enough.

    Besides 2112 this is garbage and I already have a ton of these songs in Rock Band. Guitar Hero II was the last good Guitar hero.

    Looking at RB3 setlist and this one, Guitar Hero has better songs but then again i really want to actually play the guitar on RB3. This is a hard decision.

    the metallica song should have been call of ktulu. and they need to put guns n roses, night train would have been a good choice

    I'd like to see either GH or RB have some songs from (hed) p.e. and other harder artists. If I have to keep playing old songs like black magic woman, I'm gonna beat myself to death with the guitar. haha. BRING ON MORE METAL!!

    This Setlist Makes Pefect Sense, But Still No Yngwie Malmsteen, And No Led Zeppelin, And I Really Wanted "Under A Glass Moon" By Dream Theater, But Why did They Get The Shorter Version Of "Burn"?

    I miss Dream Theater on the list, "Take the Time" and "Learning to Live" would be great, I've been waiting for this band and nothing up to now. The people from GH should think more like the players and what they like to listen. Anyway, good set, loved "Dire Straits", "White Stripes", "Blue Oyster Cult" and "ZZ Top".

    Free Ride, Money for Nothing, Love Gun, and Losing My Religion....
    Mmmm...goodness. Can't wait to play that mandolin on LMR.

    P.S., If you were to buy all this as RB dlc, it would cost up to $186 you know....

    The setlist list looks to be the best ever in a music game in my opinion. There's a few I disagree with but most of it kicks serious butt. 5FDP and Metallica/Ozzy FTW!!!

    WHERE IS THE LED?!?!? WHERE IS MAIDEN?!?!?! WHERE IS DREAM THEATER!?!??! seriously this set list blows...well at least they have 2112 and aqualung.

    Not very impressed. I just got GH5 in the bargain bin for $16.95 used...looks like Ill be doing the same next summer with this version of the franchise. Definitely not worth $60, thats for sure. And as someone before me posted in all caps, "Where is Stairway To Heaven?". Now some Zepplin would make me think twice!!!

    Only 10 or 11 tracks out of 93 that I would have any interest in playing. Not my style of music in this one. I think I'll sit this one out and jump over to RB3 which has more variety.

    This list is awful...almost every song I care about on this list will be in Rock Band 3 or is ALREADY on Rock Band's Music Store. They're way too late to include "Fortunate Son" (which has already appeared in two different versions on Rock Band,) "Seven Nation Army," "Aqualung," and "Bat Country." Seriously, you couldn't find more songs in the world that HAVEN'T already appeared in Rock Band?

    The White Stripes - "Seven Nation Army"
    The Dillinger Escape Plan - "Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants"
    The Offspring - "Self Esteem"
    RX Bandits - "It's Only Another Parsec…"
    Rammstein - "Waidmanns Heil"
    Nine Inch Nails - "Wish"

    Hate to say it, but it looks like I might buy a Guitar Hero Game again.

    @putz_noodles

    Despite of those new modes and instruments, Guitar Hero is still on top and I tell you why. First of all, Rock Band wasn't released in several countries (or if it was, lots of months difference between USA and other countries). For example, here in my country we only have Rock Band 1 (it was released in the beginning of he year i guess) and Beatles: Rock Band (the only RB released in the same time of the other countries). That's why Rock Band isn't so succesful. But GH WoR is doing great because the carrer mode emproved a lot. GH FTW

    I seem to say this every year, but no one listens.. MARILYN f'ing MANSON!?!?! If they wanna sell GH games, they should put out an M-rated, uncensored Guitar Hero Marilyn Manson and stir up some controversy!

    I sure f***ing hope this is the setlist they're gonna go for. There is so much tasty metal and punk on it. WANT!

    @Dark_balta

    Sure, but Rock Band is STILL a COPY of Guitar Hero. Also, Neversoft has developed GH mechanics MUCH more than what have happened with Rock Band since release. Open bass note, sustained notes, "slider notes", hopo-chords, additional pads on drum kit, plenty new game modes and countless interface improvements comes to mind. In fact, Rock Band hasn't had any significant improvement since game one (Ok, you got "harmonies singing" DUH!). But, this new game, RB3, has keyboard, which will be cool, and also this so praised pro-mode. Wether pro-mode will be a success or not depends imo on how easy it'll be to "ad lib" the charts (sightread). If most players first have to learn the songs in practice mode to be able to stand a chance playing them, I don't think pro-mode will be a hit at all. We'll see.

  • putz_noodles

    Of these 93 songs.. 21 or 22 songs are already available for Rock Band through Rock Band 1, Rock Band 2, Rock Band 3, Rock Band Network, Lego Rock Band, and Rock Band DLC.. which will all most likely be playable in Rock Band 3. Its not a bad setlist but calling it 93 songs is wrong, its more like 65-75 based on how upcoming Rock Band DLC will most likely include even more of these.. and will also include Pro Guitar, Drums, and Keyboards. Sorry to Guitar Hero but Rock Band has taken over.

    irresistible setlist... but no System of a down? no Mars Volta? Oh well Im very happy. "Uprising" may not have been the best muse song they coulda picked tho... but Im happy its there. Plus "Bodies" "Seven Nation Army" Rush Megadeth... Hmmm

    there is only one song on the list that moderately interests me. i seriously think that they should leave the GH/RB series to rest as the majority of good songs taht would work on those sort of games have already been done. Just stop milking it!

    bits and pieces look pretty good, glad to see 7 nation army and Psychosocial on there, both are amazing songs. Dance Dance, Paranoid and Black Rain are pretty good as well.
    besides those though Im not seeing too much on this tracklist that interests me if this is official, Im still debating if Ill get this or not, however atm Im leaning towards no, I think Ill stick with Rockband 3.

    There's a few songs I'm really excited for, but in the long run, I'll just stick with RB.

    And anyone else find it a bit redundant that Arch Enemy has a song called "Nemesis"?

    World Tour's tracklist was lame, full of Top 40 music and pop-rock. GH 5's was a huge improvement and this looks even better. Can't wait to play Bleed It Out and Psychosocial

    @Ozzie234

    Your argument is just a silly one to make.. I don't understand how you can say the same MEN who made something.. then REMADE the same thing.. copied anything at all. Yes, its a new company. But its kinda ridiculous to insult/belittle Rock Band when the same people who made Guitar Hero.. made Rock Band. Fact is, Rock Band, made by the men who made GH, is the one trying to push the genre forward, Guitar Hero hasnt even tried. Pro mode is absolutely gonna change music games. Praise be to Rock Band
