AU Shippin' Out May 31-June 4: Split/Second
Disney Interactive's anticipated racing game takes pole position in this week's releases.
The arcade racing juggernaut--Burnout--has been dormant for close to 12 months now, and in that time, several new competitors are vying for the top spot, with the latest being Split/Second. Unlike other games where players rely on their vehicles or power-ups to take out opponents, Split/Second has racers trigger elaborate traps around the race course, which, in turn, takes out opponents. Crumbling buildings, roadside bombs, and unstable cranes are just a few of the tools at your disposal for wiping out enemies.
Like previous games in the franchise, EA continues to support The Sims 3 with multiple expansion packs. The Sims 3: Ambitions allows players to follow their sims to work and guide them through their working years. Other games out this week include 505 Games' big-hitting gridiron game Backbreaker and the Clash of the Titans movie tie-in game.
