BioWare has made much of its downloadable content plans for Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2, but both games have stumbled out of the blocks with their post-launch add-ons for the Xbox 360.

While PC players of Dragon Age have been able to enjoy the Return to Ostagar add-on for weeks, the expansion pack is conspicuously absent from the Xbox Live Marketplace. Users of Microsoft's console may be developing a persecution complex, as the developer today pushed back one of its Mass Effect 2 launch-day add-ons for the Xbox 360.

Here's hoping BioWare works the kinks out of its post-launch update process before Star Wars: The Old Republic comes out.

The Zaeed add-on, featuring a new mercenary crewmember for players to recruit, has been pushed back to "Wednesday/Thursday," according to a BioWare representative's post on the game's official message boards. The download pack includes the new playable character, as well as an extra mission on his home planet. No reason for the delay was given.

New owners of Mass Effect 2 still have a reason to go online, as the Normandy Crash Site DLC is available as expected. The 54MB pack sees the game's protagonist embark on a salvage and recovery mission amid the wreckage of his old ship.

[UPDATE] As of mid-day Wednesday, January 27, the Zaeed DLC was available on Xbox Live.
