Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth Playable Flash Demo

Come play the demo of Capcom's upcoming adventure game starring Miles Edgeworth.

Miles Edgeworth may not be as friendly and easy to like as defense attorney Phoenix Wright, but this high prosecutor still managed to gain a solid fan base for those of us who saw that behind the ruffled shirt and cold demeanor was a good heart. Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is a spin-off of the popular Ace Attorney series, which stars the ruthless prosecutor and features new gameplay mechanics, as well as a new point of view.

Instead of pointing and clicking through static scenes, you can control Edgey and walk around his office to examine things more closely as you come across an item of interest. But without getting too into detail about how this game plays, check it out for yourself in this exclusive playable Flash demo below! You can also read our impressions of the game here.

Something i will be missing is the classic ace attorney humor that seems missing from this installment.
Although this is just a demo

Note to NON-FANS---I just wanted to tell those who've never played any of the Ace Attorney games, run out as fast as you can and get one! They are easily one of the best video game series of all time, of any platform. At first, the extremely quirky anime characters were a bit annoying. But I very quickly came to absolutely love the style and was soon completely sucked into their world. Now I'm another obsessed Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice/Miles Edgeworth fan waiting very impatiently for a new game to come out. Hurry up February!!

My Phoenix Wright obsessed daughter (an autistic 8 year old) ) says: "I like Dick Gumshoe because he is funny! Maggey Birde has a Blue Badger tshirt. The game is really fun and cool, and I already solved most of the first case!" I'm pretty excited too, and I know this is going to be another stellar game in the Ace Attorney series.

I've never played any of these games before and I must say this demo was surprisingly fun and intriguing O.o despite all the cooky dialogue, I was really into it.

Pretty damn enjoyable demo! Being able to actually walk around the room and examining what ever you think is of interest and the logic system. Can't wait to play some more of this when it comes out

Looking good! This is shaping up to be pretty solid. I do like the logic feature and the more detailed sprites. It looks like the transition from courtroom to crime scene is a smooth one so far!

The DEMO was great, but, what ruined the moment were some of the freezing. I wonder when Nintendo will put it in their channel on the Wii?

Lol so obvious wat happened-Portsman ran in tampered the crime scene so his dna was already there by 'accident' then he writes Gumshoe's name on the files and accuses him...EPIC FAIL at least Apollo and AA were not as predictable still very good game can't wait just please make it not has predictable

Im gonna get a lot of thumbs down for this, but, really...this game is soooo boring. And hearing little annoying and repetitive beeps for the diologue is not maken it any better. How is this classified as an adventure? It should be a puzzle...yawn...I agree on all the people who thought this was boring as well...as for the rest of you...play some assassins creed or bioshock...like seriously...

Awesome demo. Makes my mouth water for more of it, hee hee.

It's definitely a game worth getting. I played all three Phoenix Wright games as well as Apollo Justice and they were AWESOME!!

One thing I don't like though is how some cases show the killer right in the beginning. I like being able to have to deduce for myself who the real killer is. Because when I already know who I'm trying to get it's not realistic. I mean, really, Miles Edgeworth and the gang don't know who the real killer is so why should I?

But, no matter, great game all the same and I'm getting it.

    Posted Nov 16, 2009 1:48 pm PT

heh loved it, this will be pretty great, getting my AA fix thats for sure.

and to whoever is wondering whether you should play all the phoenix wright games before playing this the answer is absolutely yes, not just to get a hold of all the background in the series, but because they're just freaking awesome, have them all, and from time to time I'll play all of them again, just for the heck of it, it's just like a kick ass movie, even if you know whats going to happen it's still a trill.

  • othollo

    Posted Nov 16, 2009 12:08 pm PT

Can't wait for this one as I've already played all of the other AA games. Demo was a bit glitchy but don't let this turn you off to the game.

They skipped a cutscene between where he shoots the guy and when Edgeworth comes along to discover that his office door is unlocked...and when he walks in he's held at gunpoint by an unknown assailant.

That was pretty good, I liked the Logic system of the game - its pretty intuitive. Too bad the demo was so short though, it was really getting exciting. Can't wait for the game.

    nintendo-naut.
its recommended if you want more background on some characters ( for example: Gumshoe or Eedgworth )

and if you want to have a LOT of fun. (much more then apollo justice)

  • nintendo-naut

    Posted Nov 14, 2009 12:41 pm PT

That was great! Although I probably would have preferred a sequel to Apollo Justice. Hey does anyone know if I need to play PW 1-3 before playing this one? I've only played Apollo Justice.

Looks great. The trial game was fun but then I love all the Phoenix Wright games and I love Miles Edgeworth in them so this is a game I am really looking forward to. I dont see how that guy can say it looks like crap when it doesn't seem like he even tried the trial or maybe he did and couldn't figure out the clues to finish it hehehe

@Gabuex - I totally agree I always wait a while then replay them cause I dont remember much by then and they are always fun even after a few times around. Feb. 2010 seems so far away now that I've gotten a taste with the Flash Demo
