The BAFTAs need YOU!

Members of the public are being asked to vote for their favourite game from a choice of seven finalists for the PC World Gamer's Award, which is part of the 2007 BAFTA Video Game Awards. The game choices are: Dr Kawashima's Brain Training, FIFA 07, Football Manager 2007, Gears of War, Grand Theft...

Members of the public are being asked to vote for their favourite game from a choice of seven finalists for the PC World Gamer's Award, which is part of the 2007 BAFTA Video Game Awards.

The game choices are: Dr Kawashima's Brain Training, FIFA 07, Football Manager 2007, Gears of War, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Wii Play.

Gamers aged over 18 and based within the UK can vote for their favourite on the official Web site and will be entered into a draw to win a variety of prizes. These include a tour of Electronic Arts' UK studios, four tickets to the BAFTA Video Game Awards ceremony, a PlayStation 3, and an Xbox 360.

The winning game will be announced as part of the BAFTA ceremony at Battersea Evolution in London on October 23.

    Gears of war is without a doubt one of the best first person shooter developed in a long time.

    i dont understand why would they make it seem Resistence had a chance by putting it next to Gears? Thats just a low-blow for PS3 owners

    How can you argue with this list? Well, hmm, how about no Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess or Wii Sports? Are these British DEVELOPED games? Cause if so, then I retract what I am trying to say. But if not.... the absence of these two is just appalling. I mean saying Zelda is better than Gears is arguable, but saying it is better than Resistance is just a fact. And Wii Sports brought innovation to a new generation, and is still the highest selling Wii game outside the United States (where it is free). The BAFTAs in general have not convinced me so far they are an authority on judging games, and this list is not doing them any favors.

    I've played both Resistance and Gears,I much preferred Resistance also it's free 2 play resistance on line. Resistance 2win!!!

    I would say Gears of War but I jus feel like supporting Resistance so yea Fall of Man got my vote.

    Gears of war and resistance are what i keep seeing people saying but soccer is huge in the UK so it wouldn't surprise me if one of those won

    I have to admit that they have some strange list in the uk... I agree with all the games but they could of give more choices then 7! :S We live in a world of differences.

    I'd say a tie between Gears and Resistance, they're both great games. But because of the legions of 360 fanboys, Gears will win. How the hell did Wii play and FIFA get on there?

    That's a pretty bad list. Game of the year is between Halo 3 and Bioshock as of now.

    This really is one of the most nonsensical lists of games that I have seen in a while. Gears is the best game on there followed by resistance. Too bad fifas going to win.

    Thats an awful list, really. Most of them are from different genres, there is really no point of comparation...
    I bet those are the only games the person in BAFTA who make the proposal ever played.
