Marvel may have snatched up the rights to make comics out of Halo, but rival publisher DC is swallowing up the remaining top-tier gaming properties at breakneck speed. This year has already seen DC Comics commit to series based on Gears of War, Prototype, and Mirror's Edge, and now the publisher has added a couple more heavy hitters to the list.
DC Comics and Capcom today announced that they will create two new series based on Devil May Cry and Resident Evil. Like the previously announced game adaptations, the series based on Capcom's gothic action and survival horror franchises will be released under DC Comics' WildStorm banner.
Both franchises have found their way to comics previously. WildStorm has published comics based on Resident Evil in the past, while TokyoPop released a Devil May Cry 3 manga in the US. Specific details on the creative talent attached to the projects and when they will debut are set to be announced next month.
