Another update: Codes are being sent out. Check your emails from now and in the next hour!

UPDATE: Beta key COMING SOON. We have 500 keys ready to send out to everyone. However, we're waiting for a green light to send them out.

If you were selected you'll be sent the key via email with full instructions about how to redeem it. Thanks for your patience during this time.

FORMER POST

SCEA has sent us some beta keys for us to share with all of you. To receive a beta key please note the following instructions.

You must have:

... a PlayStation 3
... an active PlayStation 3 PSN ID
... the latest firmware to access the PlayStation Store
... 200MB free on your system
... Tuesday and Thursdays evenings available to test

If you meet these requirements send us an email to with the following information.

GameSpot username:
Your Active PSN ID:

The beta will last for two weeks. Much like other betas, those who receive the key will provide detailed feedback reports during the beta phase.

Further instructions will be sent to those who receive their beta code.

    I sent an email to community@gamespot.com at 4:18 PM Eastern (4/15) from my hotmail account, subject was Fat Princess Beta, and inside had both my GS username (this one), and my PSN ID

    I sent my email at 5:17 PM on April 19th, that was before the first post even got up.

    Guess I didn't get in, though. That stinks. I even posted this on other boards so people could get it (I found out via the GameFAQs board, I posted the first beta topic about the giveaway from the PSN Blog, under my GameFAQs name, luburulz).

    Bah. If I could go back in time and trade the LittleBigPlanet beta for this one, I would.

    @JodyR I just want an explanation like Lazarus71 of how the process went down. Just frustrating that I told everyone about this, yea I didn't get a code, and they all did, seems weird.

    JodyR it would be nice to know why people who sent thiers in clearly earlier then others did not get a beta code. I have asked if it was first come first server or a random drawing. Please give us a response.

    I'm in the same boat as you, I sent the email out with my GS username & PSN name, then I told my friend and he went ahead and did it as well, but he got a code

    Well... i got an email saying that i would get a code a few hours ago, it's now been over 3 hours since that email and i haven't gotten my code Am i still gonna get one?

    I got mine! Sweet! I never get picked for these betas but finally Yes! Yes! Yes! I've been wanting to play this game since I first saw it. Let me say it again, Yes! Yes! Yes! I didn't think I would get picked because I was like the 40th person to respond and I sent in the email super late. Looks like we made it!!! *goes off to play Fat Princess*

    JodyR could you explain how I literally sent my email like 20 minutes after this article was posted and also made the first comment yet people who entered 2 hours after me got one?

    I'm not trying to sound rude just wondering how you went about picking people to give the keys to?

    I sent in my email at 11:06 a.m. PST yesterday and received an email at 6:00 p.m. PST today saying I would being getting a code and for privacy reasons it would be sent later. At 6:17 I received the code. For anyone who sent gamespot an email before the time at which I did, don't give up hope yet. Anyone who sent after I did, good luck to you as well. I wish everyone could play it. Cheers.
