We've been following the development of EA Sports' latest boxing game, Fight Night Round 4, very closely these last few months (most recently, in our extensive look at the game's Legacy Mode). With the game's release next week, I wanted to close down our preview coverage of the game by opening the floor up to you with what has now become a standard feature on this blog: Send your questions and I'll answer as many of them as I possibly can leading up to the game's release.

While you're sending in your questions, I wanted to ask those who plan on picking up the game some questions as well:

1) Where will you send the majority of your time in FN 4? In other words, what modes appeal to you most?

2) Will you be using a real life boxer in Legacy Mode or will you be creating your own?

3) Tell me about your plans for your created boxer. What weight class, what style of fighter, that sort of thing...

So, what do you want to know about Fight Night Round 4?

    Can you import your created fighter from legacy mode into fight now mode for FN R4 for PS3?

    can you turn the constant screen flashing off ? i.e, the counter punch flash, the camera flash from the stupid virtual camera men taking virtual pictures for what i have no idea but it is annoying as f*** . All that flashing gives me a headache. I feel like i am playing a disco ball sim or something. I don't know why they added that unnecessary junk- you can't concentrate on placing your punches or really focus on what happened in the replay with all the flashing going on. I have bought every fight but won't buy this one if the flash can't be turned off.

    Oh it's so ON Dirtbag Martinez!

    @twiz

    There is some sort of move called a 'Weave' that sort of moves your boxer around to the left or right quickly and I guess in like a lunge at your opponent but I'm not sure you can throw a punch at the same time. It's also a pain to pull off this 'Weave' movement on the L stick and get it to register so I don't even bother.

    @ohjtbehaaave -- No taunt control to speak of. Of course, the signature punch (with the A button) is basically a taunt, especially if you connect! BTW, those who taunt Dirtbag usually end up eating canvas. Consider yourself warned.

    itwiz90 -- That's a tricky question. Can you punch while the left stick (which controls movement) is moved left or right? Yes. However, when your boxer punches, he will stand still momentarily. So it's not like he's punching WHILE he's moving, if that makes sense.

    Will be able to throw punches while moving (i.e. step in while throwing a hook to the body)? Not step in and then throw a punch. I will mostly be in Career Mode
    I will create my own boxer, but use a Legacy first to get a feel of the game.
    My first created fighter will be in the heavy weight class but not slow, more of a Ali/Lewis mixture.

    I need someone to answer this. Ok release date. Gamespot, IGN, say June 23. Walmart, Best Buy websites say June 24. Target website says July 2. The game's official website says June 25. When is this game coming to retail? Oh, and Gamestop website says June 23 as well. Last week, Best Buy and Walmart said June 23. Can somebody please answer this question for me?

    @jgh94 -- Because the game does note boxer retirements, I'm assuming that eventually you will retire your career boxer as well but I haven't gotten far along enough in my career to check that.

    @slycooper21 -- I find that stamina matters a lot in the game, especially if your fights go long (as mine tend to do). Early on, when your fighter is feeling spry with lots of stamina, it's tempting to just go hole-hog and wear yourself out but it pays to hold back. That said, I know I'm throwing WAY more punches in a round than in a real fight.

    1) My two favourite modes would have to be create-a-boxer and Legacy Mode, I love creating boxers and fighting them in my career

    2) I will be creating a few different boxers for Legacy Mode on different profiles

    Anyway, my questions to you are;
    1. How many CABs can we put into Legacy Mode? I've heard 12 and 20 so I'm not sure

    2. If I send you a list of names, can you confirm which ones are in the database?

    3. Have the NPC boxers in Legacy Mode careers been fixed? I saw a few guys in the top fifty with careers like 24-23-16

    4. If I make one of my CABs a Champ in Legacy, will he be able to lose his title before my character gets to him?

    This is a nice idea.
    Well for the questions asked: I will spend most of my time in legacy mode, as I like build-up/career modes in general, other than that there'll obviously be a lot of fight nights in front of my ps3 with some buddies over. I'll create my own boxer, most likely modelled after myself, which makes him a heavyweight.
    Now for my own questions: After playing the demo I felt that the game had gotten a little faster than it should, in turn making some punches feel very light. I tried to figure out whether this was due to the included boxers or an actual part of gameplay.
    I'd also like to know whether I can turn off the HUD or not. Last but not least, I never really figured out whether round 3 calculated damage done by hits after the end of the round and/or damage done by hits landed on an already falling opponent?

    Oh hell ya! Can't wait for this game. We got our good friend Brian answering our questions again! Awesome man, love it. As for your questions...

    1. Legacy mode to start for sure, get my boxer good and ready to take online, then start winning and defending the belt.
    2. Create my own boxer to start then maybe go back and play through with Tyson... The GREATEST boxer of all time!
    3. Gonna make a 6'2 220lbs heavy weight. Probably a brawler or outside fighter.

    Now what do I want to know... Hmm, I think I already know the answer to this but here it goes anyway, I noticed the demo there was no button config like round 3. Is there a button config you can use in the final version instead of analog stick? Also... Whats your gamer tag so we can bang it out a few rounds? Haha

    Why don't they let me use the button controls to punch like Fight Night 3? It's the only reason I'm NOT getting this game. It doesn't feel right using the stick to punch and it doesn't always work.
    I know the developers answer is some bull about how it gives me full control over the speed and power of my punches, but the only control I want is face buttons. Why would they want to limit the appeal of the game by taking away an option? This would be like Gran Turismo or Forza not letting me use the dpad to steer.

    1) i will start in legacy mode and train me to be a better boxer. later I will try out live, but for startings its legacy mode.

    2) I will have two boxers. One I will make and one real time. The real time will problably be Mike tyson.

    3) Heavyweight balanced boxer. try going for power.

    Is there any career time limit?

    Also, when is the official date of release? I've seen June 23, June 24, June 25, and July 1? The official website says June 25, but i'm not sure.

    Does stamina have more of a realistic role? Like in the demo, I threw about 400 or so punches in 3 rounds and either guy didn't seem very tired. Oh and to answer your questions, Brian. I'll probably do a lot of play now with some friends and family, but Legacy Mode is definitely gonna take most of my time. I'll experiment with the Photo Game Face and see if I can make it work, but even if I can't, I'll just make a boxer in game. And my plans, hmm... probably a balanced fighter, heavyweight. Not gonna favor speed or power, I want a good mix, ya know? More of an All-Arounder.

    I will spend most of my time with the career mode as I have with every fight now before. Im pretty sure Ill use Tyson for awhile and than switch over to a user made fighter. I'm not sure but I think that I'll have a heavy or light weight taller Tyson like boxer. have been playing the demo for awhile now and have noticed with evey knock down punch there is a delay or hitch before the boxer goes down. Have you noticed that? Do you think that will be fixed in the final release? And why the boxers are in training in the game they are where sparing gear (which is fine) but they are also whearing their shorts and shoes that they will fight on fight night. That is not too realistic.. and will the boxers who win the titles be able to carry the belts or muti belts with them into the ring like the real boxers do? Like Flyod Maywethaer and his 5 titles!! That would really be awseome!! Im guessing the developers didn't think that far. You know if its in the game it should be in the game ! Thanks

    Can someone please tell me why in the world do games always try to fix what's not broken. My problem is that I supported fight night from the beginning with button controls in which over the years have gotten use to but it seems as if developers don't appreciate the customers in the beginning because their always abandoning what we are use to, doing something new and expect everyone to have the same feelings about controls. To be totally honest there should not be any reason whatsoever why myself and people with the same feelings should have to except one control scheme for a $60 price point without any downoads except for something more creative than a control scheme that should come with the purchase right out of the box. The point is that I feel that the long time fight night fans has not been considered being that analog controls are fairly new and button controls may seem outdated but with all due respect, I wouldn't be a fan if the controls didn't support button configurations in the first place. How can you deny the fans this. Also, it's been a long time since the last fight night series hit store shelves, so why is there just one control scheme anyway. For the record fight night really dissapointed me with MY biggest feature of the game. CONTROLS. YOU GOT TO HAVE MORE THAN ONE CONTROL SCHEME FOR $60 or we will have to wait until a game supports the old school players then i would switch immediately. Come on people. I want what I pay for.

    can you change the control options... cause I really dislike the stick controls
    I love fight night games but if i have to use the stick controls, then i'm definatly not buying it

    i think i would spend most of my time in legacy mode trying to catch the aspect and feel as if im a real boxer,and i will have two profiles with a creating a boxer in legacy mode and using a real life boxer just to use my favorite boxer GAMBOA hahaha,well for the weight class i would use the lighter weight divisions like feather weight and middle weights because thats where i think are the most exciting boxers and my style would be fast and swift..................well i really want know will there be downloadable content like downloading other boxers that arn't in the game now.....and when you knockout someone as they are falling and you hit them does it still affect them? PLEASE ANSWER THANKS 4RM LOS angeles

    Will the controls work solid. .Will they be user friendly. another words you don't have to do a combo shot with the -four buttons, use 2 diffferent analog stcks to jam him up How long can your career last. Say you were a excellent boxer, like is there an age limit? Can you build your own boxer? I have the monies to get the game and would like these simple question answered. Thank , you fom OHIO
