Yesterday, Homer and I headed up to EA Canada for a press event where we got a chance to check out a bunch of upcoming games including NHL 10, NBA Live 10, FIFA 10, and EA's upcoming tennis game for 360 and PS3. Look for more on those games in the upcoming weeks as the individual embargoes lift.
In the meantime, check out some pictures from yesterday's fun, which included appearances by well-known athletes like NBA Live 10 cover star Dwight Howard, five-time Wimbledon champion Venus Williams, Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic, and Chivas USA midfielder Sacha Kljestan. In addition to giving media members some tips on the finer points of their respective sports (such as Venus showing off her impressively powerful serves), the four competed in a makeshift quadrathalon of sorts--which found Venus Williams taking free kicks, Lucic getting this close to dunking a basketball, and Dwight Howard acting like a 6-foot-11 Wayne Gretzky. Check it out:

Dwight gets ready to serve while Milan Lucic, Sacha Kljestan, and Venus Williams look on.

Lucic teaches NHL 10 producer David Littman about board play.

Four guys protect their tenders while Kljestan puts one in the twine.

No. 99? No, it's No. 12 showing off his stick skills.

Venus Williams does her best... and fails miserably.
Dwight Howard accepts his championship trophy and delivers his victory speech via megaphone.

The champ in his element.
