Earlier today, Sony launched the UMD-less PSP Go and added over 100 downloadable titles to the PlayStation Store. One more title could have been on that list, as a "demo" of Tecmo's Undead Knights included in the early morning update apparently included the full version of the game instead.

The 486MB download has since been pulled from the online storefront, but not before GameSpot was able to get it. The downloaded game gives no indication that it is limited in any way, with full access to all menu options, a working save function, customizable characters, and multiple playable chapters.

Inquiries to Tecmo and Sony about when the actual demo would be made available on the PlayStation Store or when the full version of Undead Knights would join the list of downloadable games (with a price tag attached) were not returned as of press time. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

I got it completely by accident, I downloaded it knowing nothing about it (ive been out of the loop for nonimport psp for quite some time), I think I got the full game too. Awesome. If its good I'll go ahead and buy the UMD version as I like to support companies that make good games instead of shovelware and other ****.

Sony can rot in hell. Hey lets modify the PSP to a no-umd format after millions of people already bought other psp's! Stupid asses what a way to screw over the customers.

@ZeroXraven: You don't "deserve" anything. You could have purchased every console and every single game since the dawn of time and you still wouldn't "deserve" anything.

Awww man, I missed out on it. I'll have to check and see what they have on their store this weekend. 486MB is a lot for a game on the PSP Go. Even if you have 16GB that's a lot of space taken.

I can't see it coming to EU. Well, shame on u Tecmo for being stupid enough to release the full game instead of demo.

Is it bad that I feel no remorse for having it, its a "Free" game, and I have bought so much gaming software in my day that I think I deserve a little something...I would have felt bad to hack into the server and somehow get a free game but no, some moron put it on as a demo and turns out it was the full thing, well good...I LOVE IT

Looks as if someone's foul-up could have been another's gain for a while. It's not often you run across a free, full game.

    I got it.

It is kind of like Overlord, but has a better (still not all that good) combat system and you control zombies instead of goblins. The soundtrack ranks up there for one of the most annoying I have ever heard, but making a bridge out of zombified knights, having them slowly rip apart guards, and other such things is pretty satisfying.

Yet another sign. Sony is masterful at protecting their own interests, but indifferent towards their partners, retailers, and consumers.

oh man. if i would have even just seen it was an available demo i would have downloaded it to see if i would have bought that title.(sucker for zombies) dammit. haha. i wonder how many lucky bastards got it. im keeping my fingers crossed for the demo of mgs peace walker. imagine if that one ended up being a free full title. someone with a nice suit would either soil himself, jump out the window of a highrise office, or both.

"Smacks face" I started downloading this morning at work and saw that it was almost 500mb for a demo and that it would take 3 hours on our crappy wireless at work. So what did I do, cancel the download and grab NBA 10 demo instead since it only took minutes. Got home and went to the PSN to grab it but it was no longer on the front page, so I did a quick search for Undead and found it but at only 96mb. Found this article tonight and .....

i had it in dl queue from this morning & dl'd after reading this (wasnt on psn anymore). its full game (has all char.,&more than demo describes) but freezes up when asks u 2 save at 1st chapter end. i did this twice so guess they put a wrench in it unless u got before they pulled off psn store. sucks thought i mightve gotten lucky, but nope. decent 4 psp game.

At least they erred on the side of the player. I'd be irked if I bought one of these PSP Go things only to find that the games erase themselves after a turn-off or charge the card twice or something.

I got it and I have to note: HOLY CRAP, THE SOUNDTRACK! That's like extreme death metal, EXTREME (some may call it hardcore or heavy). I love metal, stuff like melo-death, thrash, doom, even some black but this stuff is to extreme even for me. Marketing a game with this music to a mainstream audience seems like an odd decision but hey, its very admirable if they did it because of a passion for the music. Good game btw, environments could use some sprucing up but its fun.
