Hilary Duff, David Bowie jamming in Band Hero
Activision teases out 21 more playable tracks for 360, PS3, PS2, Wii edition of family-oriented rhythm game, nine different tunes for DS.
Guitar Hero 5 has been on retail shelves for only a few short weeks, but Activision will soon be giving it some family-targeted company in the form of Band Hero. Today, the publisher unveiled 21 more tracks for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 2 versions of the game, as well as nine separate tunes for the drum-pad-equipped DS Lite installment. Both the console and portable installments of Band Hero are due for release on November 3.
New tracks announced for the console edition of Band Hero run the gamut from David Bowie's early-'80s pop/dance hit "Let's Dance" to contemporary bubble-gum pop like Hilary Duff's "So Yesterday." Other notable tracks announced today as coming to the console version of Band Hero include Fall Out Boy's "Sugar, We're Goin' Down," Evanescence's "Bring Met to Life," Marvin Gaye's "I Heard It Through the Grapevine," and Styx's "Mr. Roboto."
Likewise, Band Hero on the DS picked up tracks both classic and modern today. The nine tracks announced today include the Foo Fighters' "Monkey Wrench," The All-American Rejects' "Believe," and Sublime's "All You Need."
