The Beatles: Rock Band near-full setlist revealed
September cover story of Game Informer magazine counts off all but one of the 45 on-disc songs for Harmonix's upcoming rhythm game.
MTV Games and Harmonix are primed to release The Beatles: Rock Band for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii on September 9, and the companies have slowly been doling out the game's 45-song set list. With 25 tracks already revealed, GameStop-owned Game Informer magazine today revealed all but one of the final 20 tracks as part of its September issue.
The new songs revealed as part of the magazine's feature span the Beatles illustrious decade-long run. Particularly noteworthy additions include "A Hard Day's Night" off the 1964 album of the same title; "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds," off the band's 1967 Sgt. Peppers album; "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," from 1967's White Album; and "Come Together," off the Abbey Road record.
Harmonix intends to release additional Beatles tracks as downloadable content. Upon the game's release, Xbox 360 owners will be able to purchase "All You Need Is Love," with proceeds going to the Doctors Without Borders charity. Additionally, the classic albums Abbey Road, Rubber Soul, and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band will be released in their entirety as downloadable content across all platforms.
