In mid-July, Activision announced that the $149 "Prestige Edition" of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would be bundled with fully functional night-vision goggles. The following week, Infinity Ward communications director Robert Bowling revealed that the developer was also designing its own branded line of controllers for the highly anticipated shooter.

Today, peripheral maker Mad Catz revealed it was the accessory maker lucky enough to land the contract to make "officially branded controllers and accessories" for Modern Warfare 2 on all platforms. Unfortunately, that's about all the announcement said, other than revealing the products will launch alongside the game, due out November 10 for the PC, DS, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, a port of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, will arrive on the Wii on the same date.) However, Bowling did initially reveal Infinity Ward was debating convex or concave thumbsticks for the branded controller.

    If the NVGs were for display you idiots, they would be NON-working replicas of decent (smaller) NVG's... rather than the GIGANTIC ones that come with it.     I dont care about the NFG if it works or not Ill buy just for display thats why its called COLLECTORS EDITION people

    why you guys want a NFG ? for what? spying under age children?

    Mad cats stuff sucks! And if you are only paying double digits for a pair of Fully funcional goggles. (cause the game only cost 60$.) Then something isn't right here.

    fully functioning NVGs for less than 100 bucks??? top quality, no doubt... MadCatz stuff sucks too. the only reason to buy a 3rd party controller (for console gaming anyway) is to get a turbo button to cheat with.

    Let me tell you guys right now. The game is selling for 60. That means 90 of these dollars are going for the goggles.

    And let me tell you this. There is no pair of night vision goggles in the world that sells for $90. They sell for 4 digits. What you're probably going to get is green LED binoculars.

    people still look at the Old Madcatz, there will always be Cheap products and controllers as there is buyers for it and some 1st party wont be happy if 3rd party make the same quality to compete with their traditional accessories.

    look at Madcatz specialty controllers and accessories lately, Like Wireless bass fender, Cymbals, Fighting Sticks, i beleive more Quality will come as announced during E3, They pushing for higher end products and i am waiting for their new Rockband 100% Wooden Fender and Nascar/Dale Earnhardt, Jr Steering Wheel

    I don't play this game but if you guys are wise you'll avoid anything made by this company. I have 3 madcatz experiences:

    1: A PS2 memory card. I lost ALL my game saves about a week later.
    2: A mouse for my computer. The install disk came loaded with the Ripper Visus (look it up)
    3: The SF IV Fightpads. I bought 4. Because my first one didnt work, I took it back and then I bought two more, then I bought another one when THOSE two didnt work. Madcatz just offered to fix my other two and I just got them back and guess what? STILL DON'T WORK!

    Don't buy anything from Madcatz unless you like to waste money.
