The past few years have seen Capcom score a string of hits with new intellectual property. Today, the publisher revealed that it would be bundling two of the most successful, Dead Rising and Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, as well as the latest installment in its proven Devil May Cry franchise, into one Greatest Hits package for the Xbox 360. Capcom's Platinum Hits Triple Pack will be available on September 8 for $39.99.
Originally released to warm reviews in August 2006, Dead Rising sees photojournalist Frank West creatively hacking his way through a mall filled to capacity with zombies. Capcom followed that success with Lost Planet: Extreme Condition on the Xbox 360 in January 2007. Also securing positive reviews, Lost Planet transports players to a frigid wasteland in which they must survive by slaughtering hordes of hostile Akrids. Both games are slated to receive sequels.
A one-time Sony-exclusive franchise, Devil May Cry 4 made its controversial debut on the Xbox 360 in July 2008. A critical success, Devil May Cry 4 sees new protagonist Nero joining Dante in an effort to vanquish demons. Capcom has yet to announce a follow-up to Devil May Cry 4.
As noted by the publisher, the three games combined have sold over 3 million units in North America.
