The past several weeks have seen the downloadable expansions for Grand Theft Auto IV at the center of several rumors. First came a report that The Lost and Damned would be ported to the PlayStation 3--a report Microsoft quickly and unequivocally shot down. "The episodes are exclusive to Xbox 360," the company said flatly.

Just days later, another rumor surfaced that the second, as-yet unnamed Xbox 360 episode would be a pillar of Microsoft's June 1 press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. That piece of scuttlebutt also pegged the game's subtitle as being Blood and a Four Leaf Clover, hinting it would focus on the Irish gangsters known as the MacReary Brothers.

Now, Rockstar Games has announced that it won't be long until it officially unveils the second Xbox 360-exclusive update to Grand Theft Auto IV. The famously tight-lipped development house, owned by Take-Two Interactive, used a forum perfectly suited to its curt approach to game PR--Twitter. "Details on 2nd episode of GTAIV downloadable content coming soon," read a late-Friday post from the publisher, which--by the very nature of the site's format--is limited to 140 characters.

    GTA IV is my favorite game, and thankfully I happen to have a 360. The total blame isn't on Rockstar, imagine how much money Microsoft is paying Rockstar to keep the episodes 360-exclusive. It's gotta be a multi-million dollar deal don't you think?

    Why they dont have the expansions for other platforms?, bunch of insert highly offensive expletives! I buy the game and I get discriminated against, totally out of order. In fact "@$% it last Rockstar game I ever buy, been GTA fan for years since the first, and now they bend me over and stiff me.

    they should make the 3rd DLC about the alderney mafias, like with jimmy pegorino and all those other mafia gangs execpt u play as one of the mobsters

    I don't like the control scheme of the game. I feel like I am fighting the game to make the character do what I want...the camera goes wherever it want's to, the driving mechanics are terrible...I could go on and on. That's been my biggest complaint with GTA since it went 3D. It's the only game since 8-bit Nintendo days that I get so frustrated with I want to throw my controller across the room.

    This game is STILL overhyped lol Good game, but I definitely don't find it to be a masterpiece or anything. WHO CARES about the next DLC? I know I don't! I lost interest in this game about 6 or 7 missions into it. I know they sold alot of copies, but I think we have been force fed ENOUGH of GTA! PLEASE only post stories that actually have info about a game in them??? Is it really a three paragraph story that 'info about new dlc forthcoming!'

    All I really want is for them to fix the horrible controls and add mid-mission check points so that I can actually stand to finish playing the original part...

    A DLC focused on the McReary brothers would be amazing. I loved their personalities as well as their constant bickering in GTA IV,so it wouldn't be bad to see them again.

    I still need to download The Lost and the Damned... but I'm not too into the biker aspect of the story... but if it truly is going to be about the MacReary Brothers then I am definently going to download this... Irish...

    If they make another DLC, they should add way more this time around, another island mabye, or mabye a crapload of new vehicles (like 30 new ones), and some new features to make it worth while...

    Whatever it is about I'm sure it will be good if not great. TLaD was well worth the money and was great DLC. It was polished and easily as good as the main story. DLC is looking good this year with all the Fable DLC, Fallout 3 DLC and GTA DLC.

    gta 4 is meant to be played slow so u get to enjoy the game to its fullest it took me like 2 months to beat the entire game, instead of trying to beat it in 15 hours like everyone else did. thats how u get the most out of ur games, so u can enjoy them

    Still haven't got around to playing GTA4 (I know, what the hell am I waiting for, right?), so the DLC will be a nice add-on when I get around to buying the game. Kinda wanted it for my PS3 (prefer Trophies>Achievements), but I will get the 360 version for the DLC.

    GTAIV is old news and in my opinion is that microsoft may have a lot of exclusives, but their customers service is crap. i have had 3 xbox360s since they came out. and one ps3 since they were released. microsoft consloes are crap they are nothing but problems.now most microsoft games are being rushed and are only half finshed in my eyes. whilst ps3 take their time and have a finished and amazing game. i used to love xbox but since the new laggy party chat and advtar systems just slows the console down. move on Rockstar try to design a new concept a game gta is finshed you have milked it for too long!!!

    Not really news since we knew it was coming but I did enjoy the first. Don't think the second will top the first but it will still be good and another reason to get back into GTAIV.

    @ravageGT: i agree with you, its really not worth the money, although imo gta wasn't overrated.

    i loved the missions with the macreary brothers, so this will be great. hopefully more new vehicles and weapons. the only thing i wish gta would have now is seasonal weather... that would be so rad.

    As a Xbox 360 owner, I think Microsoft should realize that spending money on having Rockstar grant exclusive DLC was pretty much a waste. As many have said, GTA was overrated anyway.

    James.. I just think Game developers are lazy and don't want to make the extra effort to format it for the PS3 since it does happen to be a little tougher to do it than on the 360.

    Sergsky...Very short for the price?/ You say this with a Bungie character as your icon..the company KNOWN for gouging for pointless content..It was an average 8 hour play. 3 hours more than a COD game.

    im a PS3 owner and i personally dont care about DLC for GTA4...im still playing GTA4; using no cheats and logged almost 100 hours and am only bout 70% done. The game is long enough with out DLC and not to mention there's too many other games out there to get.

    To all the people saying that the DLC is going to be ported, sorry but there was as article on this site and others that stated that Microsoft payed to keep these as lifetime exclusives for only the Xbox 360 on Xbox Live, thats why not even the PC version will get the DLC, not even for the Games for Windows people. I have to agree that Rockstar waited WAY to long to bring out the DLC, it should have been no longer then 6 months tops for the first one, then another 3 months for the second, tops.

    I enjoyed TLAD for the 10 hours it gave, but it was lacking in what you could do, I hope the add something really new this time besides a few weapons, bikes, and cars that Niko can't even use BTW. I bet it would have been only $10 without all the new music and the TV shows, but at least Niko can use the music. SO Rockstar how about this time you let Niko be able to have the new cars, weapons, and all that! Make our $20 worth it.

    The Lost and the Damned was very short for it's price. While some dlc are shorter, they are also less expensive. I also agree with some other people that complained about the lack of new areas to explore, and I would add that they should include new vehicles, random characters and music for that price.
