Namco Bandai hasn't shied away from quirky games in the past, having created and released titles like Katamari Damacy and Noby Noby Boy around the world. However, its latest quirky game, Muscle March for WiiWare, might be too quirky for release outside the Japanese publisher's home territory.
According to the official Muscle March Web site, the game lets players select from a roster of muscle-bound meatheads (including a polar bear) and control them as they chase down a thief in possession of their prized protein supplements. The thief will not be caught easily, however, breaking through walls as he strikes one of four dramatic weight-lifting poses. Players will have to match the poses with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk if they want to follow cleanly through the walls and catch up to the protein-pilfering perpetrator.
Muscle March will also include a multiplayer mode for up to four players, where players follow one another through a series of walls at ever-increasing speeds. Muscle March is set to debut on WiiWare May 26 for 800 Wii points ($8 in US currency).
As of press time, a Namco Bandai representative had not returned a request for comment on the possibility of a worldwide release for the game.
