Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic received a critical drubbing when it first debuted for $9.99 on the PlayStation Network in April. Happening upon perhaps the best way for gamers to forgive the game its faults, Sony said as part of its PlayStation Network update that it would be partnering with Sprint to give the game away. Sony did not specify when the offer would expire, saying only that it would be available on the house "this week."

Sony is also offering a deal on Capcom's Bionic Commando Rearmed. With the all-new Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 edition hitting retail next week, Sony is offering a 50 percent discount on the 8-bit redux, selling it through the PSN for $4.99 until this Thursday.

Other full games available this week are poker variant Texas Cheat'em and Zen Pinball, both of which can be purchased for $9.99. Gamers can also pick up original PlayStation classics The King of Fighter '99 and Spyro: Year of the Dragon for play on the PS3 as well as the PSP. The two games run $5.99 apiece.

It's another big week of add-on game content, as well. The first of eight MotorStorm Pacific Rift liveries is now available for free, as is the Daxter character for Pain. Those looking for premium Pain content can pick up the Sore Spots pack for $5.99, which adds two new environments to the destruction-heavy downloadable game. Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 also has free content available in the form of three new missions.

On the rhythm game front, Guitar Hero World Tour picks up a three-pack of pop songs. "Everything's Magic" by Angels & Airwaves, "So What" by Pink, and "Stop and Stare" by OneRepublic can all be downloaded for $1.99 individually or $5.49 for the set. The Rock Band Music Store gains eight new playable tracks this week from artists Disturbed, Elvis Costello, Steely Dan, and Social Distortion. Each track carries the standard sticker price of $1.99.

On the PSP, gamers can pick up Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice for $22.99. The Bigbig Studios-developed action game was originally released to positive reviews in January 2008.

Lol, yeah, I got their free copy of Rag Doll... and it still sucks. Bionic Commando, on the other hand, rocked. I would've gladly bought it for $10, but getting it for half that was pretty sweet, too. Now give me a release date on that MvC2, and I can widen the smile on my face.

"GOD DAMMIT KYLE!" Why do us Canadians always get screwed? Are they really going to force me to make an american PS3 account to get one crappy game? "I hate you guys."

Downloaded the game which is ok, kind of fun but not (9.5) RAD gamespot. IMO $9.99 is way too much but when you get charged .50-$1.99 for fake clothes in home I guess the price is right on par

No, it's a turd of a game, and it's a rip off at $10. $5 would be somewhat more reasonable. It's an interesting game and fun premise, but the execution sucked.

you guys are unbelieveable. i understand that some may think it is too short of a game, but with a bunch of people over or just a couple, this game is very goofy and fun. I wish there was online capability and specific powers, but i still think this game is NOT horrible, but very different and fun!

Yeah this game wasn't even fun, I gotta say I'm shocked at actually being disappointed with something that's free... I mean for free I'll take it but... whatever I don't really plan on playing it again for more than the 15 minutes I played.

I still got to pay for it here, and I am too cheap to do that.

The game could be a 1, you tell me free and limited time and I'll be there.

Don't forget about the free Uncharted apartment on Home for a week too.

Great news, Bionic Commando is still one of the best downloadable games ever made, it's a steal at $5.

Rag Doll Kung Fu is another story, as are Gamespot's spellcheckers apparently.

I downloaded it yesterday. I'll say that considering it was free, I fee like I barely got my money's worth, and leave it at that.

Bionic Command for $5 was definitely a steal though.

Got Rag Doll Kung-fu for the kids to play (something easier to pick up than SF4) and they've been laughing all morning. Not a serious fighter, but funnier than hell to watch. Thank you Sony!

*sigh*. Come on, GameSpot-- typos in this day and age? Seriously? Also, why is this listed in the RSS feed as Wii? It's not even mentioned in the article. QC, kids.
