Nintendo's DSiWare downloadable game service remains a relatively new feature for the publisher's popular handheld, having launched only last month. And while content has steadily marched onto the DSiWare Store, this week sees the release of one of the more ambitious titles yet: Gameloft's Real Soccer 2009. Available for 800 DSi points ($8 ), the soccer sim accommodates play for up to four and features 198 clubs, real-world players, and 3D visuals.

Aksys Games' Family Pirate Party is this week's new addition to the Nintendo WiiWare store. A family-friendly board game that accommodates play for up to four, Pirate Party features cel-shaded graphics and a lively soundtrack. It is available for 500 Wii points ($5).

Lastly, the Wii's Virtual Console has been updated this week with Galaxy Force II. Originally appearing in arcades before being released on the Sega Genesis, Galaxy Force II is a third-person space shooter in which players blast their way through a variety of alien environments full of robots, ships, and turrets. The 3D shoot-'em-up costs 800 Wii points ($8 ).

If I had a DSI, I would most likely pick up Real Soccer. Seems like a fun game.

great, lets see some more titles that take full advantage of the dsi's hardware, without the memory constraints of the ds cartridge.
a tony hawk style game would be nice, ace combat. and maybe an online shooter?

The description in the DSi store said you can take pictures with the DSi camera and turn them into a custom team logo or players face.

That's... not bad looking at all. Call me an old fogey (I certainly do) but I'm always taken back by when the line between "downloadable" game and "digitially distributed" game becomes this blurred. You know what I mean.

Okay fps_d0minat0r, so I guess Doom was a bad game back in the 90's because it didn't have good graphics. Guess Quake and Wolfenstein sucked too, along with every game released for the NES, eh?

ahahahahah they call that "real" soccer.....

gameloft should just stick will mobile phone games......actually they shouldnt.

no game developer will get graphics like pro evolution soccer for PSP on the DS, its impossible.

who said games aint all about graphics???
well their not but there should be good graphics to pick it up in the first palce.

anyone here telling me you would play this unappealing game and be happy with it??? I didnt think so.

At least this content looks to be closer to games than priced demos.
