It stands to reason that Activision was quite pleased with the initial reception for Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1. After all, the four-map, $10 add-on content accrued more than 1 million downloads during its first weekend on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. It comes as no surprise, then, that the publisher is prepping a second.

Today, Activision confirmed that the Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 will be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in June. Pricing information was not revealed, though Map Pack 2 will include the same number of battlegrounds as the first batch of DLC.

Like Map Pack 1, Map Pack 2 will include three standard online multiplayer arenas. Banzai takes place deep in enemy territory as players vie for control of a tall bridge over a river. Corrosion sees players journeying to Mother Russia to do battle in a dilapidated train yard. Sub Pens features close-quarters firefights in a bombed-out submarine base.

Map Pack 2 will also include a zombie-infused co-op battleground titled Shi No Numa, where players join up to lay waste to Imperial zombies. In addition to undead Imperial Japan grunts, the map features Hell Hounds, Perk machines, and a new weapon: the Wunderwaffe DG-2. Players will be able to earn additional Xbox 360 achievement points or comparable PS3 trophies.

    actually you don't have to turn on any main power switch to use the electricity walls on the map. The zip line requires the a main power switch but I have yet to locate it and I don't know about the flogger.

    Banzai sounds like a pretty good sniper map. Hopefully it'll be balanced out, where snipers control the bridge but opponents can flank you.

    Imperial Zombies Shi No Numa (Zombie Swamp)

    Warning (HeRe Be SpOiLeRs)

    Here is the walkthrough from what ive seen read and heard about on twitter youtube an other sites.

    Flaming Hell Hounds = Exploding werewolf-like creatures that will spawn randomly around the map and will try to eat you.(OBV!)

    Wunderwaffe DG-2 = Automatic Railgun. Sort of like B.A.R. Ray Gun and Ghostbusters combined.Awesome Gun BTW...

    Random Perks-A-Cola machines.Much like the Random Box but with the perk machines.(No new perks BTW.Just the ones we saw in the previous map, Verrukt.)

    Random Box. (OBV.)But from the trailer i saw on Youtube, it looks like there will be totally different guns including the tokarev pistol.

    Zombies, funny outfits lol. But seriously these zombies look like the hardest ones we have come up against to date.

    Escape Zipline = If you feel the zombies are all over you then there is an escape zipline to get you to safety.

    Electro-Shock Defences = Much like the last map these defences will give your enemies even more electrifying consequences and also like the last map you will have to turn on the power to use this feature.

    I don't rhink Treyarch is crap, they make good games, but since IW's focus is on CoD (and they were the original creators) then obviously they won't do it as good as IW. Nazi Zombies is great thoguh, and I would love a stand alone game made from it.

    i have seen concept art of the The wunderwaffe. It just looks like an STG-44 with a light ontop. But they could change it.

    hey guys, im half german and my friends ask what the Wunderwaffe DG-2 is, its german for Miracle Weapon (DG-2)... pretty cool, i would laugh if its like, mg-42 version of the raygun ( U WIN) lol well, if u r interested in making video games, add me!

    The Zombie Swamp (Shi No Zuma) is this Map Packs new experience that brings you into a swamp with dead Japanese troops rising for revenge apparently. A misty swamp environment fitting for the Japanese to sneak up on and take advantage of you in. This level will feature perk machines, traps, flaming hell hounds and the new Wunderwaffe DG-2.

    This map pack also introduces 3 more multiplayer maps and the one new zombie map pack introduced above. You’ll be battling in a Russian Trainyard in Corrosion, fighting close quarters in Sub Pens, and fighting for controlof a bridge in Banzai. This map pack sounds pretty fun for those with Call of Duty World at War already. The new Zombie map sounds fun to play, killing Japanese Zombies in a misty forest, sounds like a fun time to me.

    They should make a Zombie Map that allows you to Be the Actual Zombie, but i they do that it'll turn in to a Left 4 Dead (GOOD) rip off IMO.

    BTW, can someone tell me what the price will be for this Map Pack???
    i hope it's 800 Microsoft Pts.(for the 360) i've saved those points since the last Map pack.

    Wunderwaffe DG-2 Vampire Vision LOOKS INSANE!!


    Wunderwaffe is German for "wonder weapons", and was a term assigned during World War II by the Nazi propaganda ministry to a few revolutionary "superweapons". Most of these weapons reached the combat theatre too late, and in too insignificant numbers (if at all) to have a military effect. Even if they did, the "Wunderwaffe" mostly failed to fulfill their destructive capabilities. This is a straight copy and paste from another site, but this looks like a great addon for the new zombie map

    Cod 5 rules. I felt the same way about Cod 4 but it is old news and boring now. Plus people on Cod 4 have been playing it way to long making it REAL hard if you dont have a clan. Geesh I hate fanboys. Do something with your life and get me a beer

    Wow kamakazi zombies, and hell hounds! This is what us Resident Evil fans want, some zombie action! A little expensive, but much better map packs compared to the COD4 ones.

    Think of it this way. CoD:WaW=$60. Map packs = $10. Therefore, Activision considers a Map Pack equal to 1/6 of the full game. I disagree. Map packs should be a little less expensive. Maybe... $5. Anyway, I'm still gonna get these. They sound pretty decent. Plus, a new zombie map. That's always a good thing.

    mikemaj82...I think you are off a bit. I am ALWAYS right into a game, where COD4 it is a little wait. 85,000 players? On any given day there are well over 200,000 players online..Maybe you need to check your connection. But granted COD4 was a good game, they dropped players and gave us crap maps for the update. I have over 100 people on my friends list and 1 plays COD on a regular basis because he is laid off and can't afford other games right now....You really need to check yourself before letting your lips run wild

    Thats cool but i only rented the game from gamefly, but i really liked it. just I didint want to buy it when everyones going 2 play modernwarfare2 in november. I hope modernwarfare2 has something like nazi zombies tho cause its pretty cool. But a new map pack thats a good idea im sure 10s of thousands well buy but pesonally not me i never even played mappack1. overall cod:waw was a good game n i might rent again b4 the launch of modernwarfare2 which im going 2 buy cause the replay value of the online play lol
