As it turns out, Lionhead Studios is currently in full-scale production of a second add-on for Fable II, and not Fable III, as gabby BBC personality Jonathan Ross initially led many to believe. Today, the Microsoft-owned studio provided the first details on the Fable II downloadable content--titled See the Future--saying it would be available through Xbox Live this May for MSP560 ($7). For those keeping track, that dollar amount equates to $3 less than the well-received Knothole Island DLC pack, released in January.

The basic concept behind See the Future involves players lifting a curse on three items obtained by Murgo the Trader, better known as the mysterious vendor introduced during the opening childhood sequence in Fable II. According to Lionhead, those who complete the new quest line will be offered "a vision of Albion's future and what lies ahead for those born into the heroic bloodline."

As with the first Fable II DLC pack, See the Future will offer a variety of new characters, creatures, quests, and items. According to Lionhead, new quests include "The Ghosts of the Snowglobe," in which players must cipher out the secret of a mysterious town locked away in a chintzy novelty, and "The Cursed Knight," where players are tasked with assuming a variety of disguises to free an undead champion. The DLC pack will also include the Colosseum, where players can compete for prizes by besting a variety of challengers.

Many of the items and emotes contained in See the Future will also be available as a free download, allowing those who don't purchase the premium content to play with those who have. For more information, check out GameSpot's video review below.

"played twice, didn't draw me in near enough as i thought it wood. good game but no where near the immersion that oblivion and Ocerina of time offered me when i played them"

I AGREE THE GAME WAS JUST OKAY I DID NOT FEEL THE WANT TO PLAY IT AFTER I COMPLETED IT ONCE AND THE ENDING WAS JUST OKAY. GOOD GAME BUT NOT AMAZING. I THINK I JUST LIKED THE MECHANICS OF OBLIVION BETTER. HOPEFULLY DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS WILL BE GOOD ALONG WITH MASS EFFECT 2.

I like the sound of more quests, since all the ones in fable 2 I was able to finish relatively quickly.

Hopefully there's something more challenging than a big tree/troll thing in there. All the monsters are/were far too easy to beat: it was fun but ultimately it had no challenge for non-casual gamers.

After beating this game and every other little odd and end about it. In retrospect, I wonder why I played it at all. I guess if you miss Saturday morning cartoons, this could be for you.

I loved Fable 2 and and about 9/10ths of the way done with everything there is to do in the main games. I still have like 9 keys and 6 gargs to find and a couple other small things. I am currently replaying the game as an evil guy (was good the first playthrough.) I will buy both expansions as more Fable is more Fable. Can't wait.

Great, more content for Fable 2.
The last DLC was pretty short, but the game is fun and I'm looking forward to this!

The content better not be less due to the price slash though =(

sounds as short as the last one, just a little bit cheaper. but this and the other should of been free because right now they are a waste of money and i ain't wasting my time with this.

I just cant get into Fable. To me its not so much an RPG. The lack of communication with characters with the whole emotions and whatnot I just couldnt get into. I loved the dog and finding treasures though. I doubt I will get the DLC. I tried to play Fable the other night after not playing it for a few months and I lasted about 15 mins and turned it off. A shame seeing as visually its looks really nice just the gameplay isnt for me.

nothing really wrong with fable 2, my gf bought it and we both finished it, but its really just not an rpg. to me its an action adventure game and i need more meat in my games. adventure games and platformers dont do it for me anymore (20 yrs ago that was a diff story-im now 30) i need armor that actually means something. mods to weapons, proper experience levels, variety. getting married and having kids and gay sex is all well and good in fable2 but id rather the focus be on varieties of weapons, upgrades, experience with levels, items left behind by enemies. maybe im just a traditionalist.

I will so buy this, i just hope it is longer than Knothole Island..... that was way to short, and the quest with the knight sounds like it will be very short and kind of boring.... but otherwise this sounds great..

Agreed. DLC should be cheaper. I would almost buy all DLC if it were $5. Oh well their loss. I will get Fable 2's first DLC when it is $5.

The price is much better then most DLC but I still think a lot of games miss out on new life because the cost of the DLC is just too high.

Yes, finally! A new DLC! Knothole Island was a great addition to the game, though it was short and much too expensive for my liking, it was fun. This one gives me the feeling it will be much better than Knothole. " A Vision of the Future" sounds pretty cool. Maybe a sneak peek at a official expansion or Fable 3 . The latter is least likely to be shown though.

What I HOPE, is that the Hero bloodline is continued through your own children. He says the next game will be revolutionary, but he has said this in the past. I think that if he were able to develop a game that uses multiple heroes (your children from Fable II, not all necessarily), and each of these can be trained to full power, and run provinces (Wraithmarsh, Bowerstone, Rookridge, etc). Also I'd like an open world with a decent map.

Of course if one doesn't have children, how can the game commence?
