No matter how many bullets get pumped into a zombie, the darn things have a tendency to not stay dead. Case in point: Try as players might to eradicate the undead vermin in Capcom's Resident Evil 5 later this week, the hordes are already planning a reunion tour later this month, courtesy of Kuju Entertainment's downloadable game shop Doublesix.

The Guildford, UK-based studio announced today that Burn Zombie Burn will be available for the PlayStation Network in the US and Europe on March 26. Pricing information has not yet been revealed.

A top-down shooter in the lineage of Smash TV, Burn Zombie Burn sees players fending for the lives amid a zombie apocalypse. The humor-heavy shooter has players using a variety of weapons to slaughter wave after wave of undead hordes across six horror-themed levels for increasing amounts of points. The game also supports co-op and competitive multiplayer for up to two.

    Why are all PSN games, as of late, cartoony crap? Not to mention, it's ANOTHER top down shooter! Don't we have enough of these??? *sigh* How about something a little realistic looking with a story that's done in a fairly serious tone? I think the only cartoony game I play on a continuous basis is Crash Commando. Everything else I've purchased is played for a little while, and then simply forgotten.

    Id enjoy the slew of zombie games if they were ACTUAL ****ING ZOMBIES. Im sick of these variation "zombies". zombie like.. or infected... no.... no no no no.... actual.. ZOMBIES. I dont care how they are made as long as they eat brains or flesh...are dumb....come in startlingly massive numbers and are hard as hell to kill. OH AND ARE SLOW! That running infected thing was crap. >_

    Oh wow, this looks like the best game I have EVER EVER seen!
    I hope it costs a lot of money!
    Oooh I hope there are lots of downloadable extras like clothes and stuff that I will never have to use, I don't care what I pay

    Maximas: You need to write Congress about racism and stereotyping zombies then. Get an act passed declaring zombies as people too and they should be treated as such. Until then, I will be enjoying my killing with reckless abandon.

    I totally agree with Mike, but this still pretty cool. I will be downloading this on day one. It is zombies ate my neighbors with a flame thrower. I love killing zombies so much.

    Why do all these kind of games look the same? Do they use a template from like one Master bad game and just change the characters?
    Thank God that I can afford regular games. I think I would stop gaming if this was it.

    However, Robotron / Smash TV clones ARE getting old and I think I'll pass on this.

    Zombie games are getting a little old, to be honest. And the World War II trend that started early in the decade is STILL going on. I hear they even combine the two now. Time for something new?

    Not saying the game is going to be bad.... just saying. I do like how it is styled after Smash TV.
