Ubisoft is probably wishing it would have held over that rewind mechanic from the Sands of Time trilogy of Prince of Persia games. Today, the French publisher announced that the first content update for its recently released Prince of Persia will now arrive for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 5, having previously been scheduled for February 26.
Titled Prince of Persia Epilogue, the DLC will extend the original game with approximately three to four hours of additional gameplay. In it, gamers will delve into a new underground palace area, making use of two new techniques to traverse the depths. The prince and Elika will also benefit from new unlockable skins, which open up character models that were discarded during their prototype phase of development.
Despite the "Epilogue" title, a Ubisoft representative told GameSpot that players need not have finished the original game to access the downloadable content. Once unlocked, the character skins can be used to play through the main game, but the content pack's new powers can be used only in the added sections of the game.
Ubisoft has not yet announced a price for the Epilogue pack. For more information, check out GameSpot's review of Prince of Persia.
