EA's Black Box studio has been on the receiving end of the publisher's company-wide efforts to trim costs by eliminating 1,100 positions. However, that doesn't mean the studio's most recent game, Skate 2, will go without postrelease updates.
Today, EA announced that the next wave of downloadable content for Skate 2 is available through the PlayStation Network Store and Xbox Live Marketplace. The new pack adds in Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Plaza, as well as a portion of the Los Angeles downtown area. Aside from his skateboarding accolades, Dyrdek is known for his MTV reality shows Rob and Big and Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory.
The Fantasy Plaza DLC was developed in-house at Black Box and can be purchased for $5 (400 Microsoft points). For more information, check out GameSpot's review of Skate 2.
