Foo Fighters, Skynyrd front On Tour Decades
Activision packs 28 master tracks into latest portable Guitar Hero, due for the DS on November 16.
Not long after Activision released Guitar Hero: On Tour for the Nintendo DS in June, the publisher was touting the game as its best-selling entry on Nintendo's portable in corporate history. Not six months later, the publisher is already playing an encore with On Tour Decades, which is slated to arrive for the DS on November 16.
Today, Activision took the wraps off of On Tour Decades' setlist. In all, the list includes 28 master tracks, two more than the first installment in the franchise. Notable performers in this edition include rhythm-game veterans such as the Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Boston, and Weezer. As previously noted by Nintendo, gamers will be able to share songs between the two games as well as play along together by way of the DS' Wi-Fi capabilities.
As with the original On Tour, Decades will make use of the Guitar Grip peripheral, which slots into the soon-to-be-extinct Game Boy Advance slot on the DS. In addition to holding down the appropriate button on the grip, gamers will strum along to the tunes with a stylus-inspired guitar pick.
Check out GameSpot's previous coverage of On Tour Decades, as well as the review of the first game, for what to expect from Activision's latest rhythm-game offering.
