Aussie game charts: September 1-7
Not even Spore can topple Wii Fit.
Nintendo's success with casual gamers in recent years cannot be ignored. Because of this, it should come as no surprise to seasoned chart watchers that Wii Fit topped the overall Australian game chart, according to data trackers GfK Australia.
Not even the release of the highly anticipated Spore could slow down Wii Fit. Will Wright's new game spent less than a full week on store shelves and debuted in the charts at number two for the week of September 1-7. The Wii Play bundle, which comes with a Wiimote, fell down one spot into third, while Mario Kart Wii climbed up into the fourth position. Dr Kawashima's Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain? can be found in the very middle of the chart in fifth spot. Super Smash Bros. Brawl moved up a couple of places into number six. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games seem to be making a post-Olympics comeback, moving up into the seventh spot. EA's The Sims 2: Apartment Life continues to sell strongly on the PC, moving enough copies to make it into eighth place.
In other charts news, despite dropping out of the top 10 overall games, Too Human remains the best-selling game on Xbox 360 for the second week in a row.
