Saints Row 2 canonizes porn star

Tera Patrick assumes "special producer" position on Volition's tongue-in-cheek open-world action game.

While Grand Theft Auto IV took the series in a more serious direction, THQ and Volition are going in the opposite direction with their GTA-inspired open-world action series, Saints Row.

Little-known fact: All of THQ's producers dress this way.

The publisher updated its official Saints Row 2 Web site last night with the news that adult film star Tera Patrick (Reign of Tera 2, Soul Plane) has begun working on the game as a "special producer." According to the site, Patrick will be "bringing her one-of-a-kind touch to the project."

This is not the first time an adult film star has appeared in games. Jenna Jameson (Zombie Strippers, Nash Bridges) provided vocal work for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4.

Saints Row 2 is set for release later this year on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

    Yall are just hating because she ain't hooking YOU up. I think its a great marketing tool, not to mention a fun addition. You think they'll get a regular super model to pose like that? Nope. So they get a supermodel that screws for a living, fuggit, at least she is fine. In my opinion they should have got a few more pornstars, and made em a click in the game. That would be tight to me.

    I have this wierd feeling... that Tera is going to voice some new character in Saints Row 2 that will help the Saints.

    The only thing that keeps me coming to this site is all the cry babys. (Mods included). This website will take away your comment or ban you for being truthful.
