Naruto continues rise on 360

Ubisoft to follow up last year's Rise of a Ninja with holiday release of The Broken Bond exclusively for Microsoft's console.

Last year, Ubisoft Montreal developed Naruto: Rise of a Ninja for the Xbox 360, the first game based on the popular anime that was developed outside Japan. The Western interpretation of the series is set to continue, as Ubisoft today announced a direct sequel to that project, Naruto: The Broken Bond.

Picking up from the original game, The Broken Bond finds Naruto having established himself as a player in the ninja community. That rubs his best friend Sasuke the wrong way, and the resulting friction allows the antagonist Orochimaru to drive a wedge between the two.

Ubisoft didn't disclose new gameplay details about The Broken Bond, but it did confirm the original title's online tournament mode would be making a return.

Naruto: The Broken Bond is set for release this holiday season in North America, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan. For more on the original Rise of a Ninja, check out GameSpot's review.

I liked the first I thought it was a pretty fun adventure and it looks good too, hopefully they tweaked the fighting system some though

I don't really care about the single player mode. I'm interested in seeing what tweaks they've made to the online game. The fighting game is actually really good but its got like 2 issues which make it a joke and and actually encourage and reward move spamming.

I was suprised by the first one. I guess having Ubisoft develop the first one on the 360 helped. Kinda reminds me of Dragonball z, with the fighting sequences.I will buy it when it goes down to 39.99

ninja storm is just a fighting game .
but broken bond is an adventure game.
so broken bond is absolutly the better

That doesn't make any sense. Ultimate Ninja Storm has free roaming too.

rise of ninja sucks, the online tournament is so fu****g stupid gaara and lee are cheat characters you can do the same combo over and over. The free roam is nothing to say about it, just jump and run like a b*tch thats not a ninja in the anime jiraya learned him to walk on water, summon gamabunta then rasengan. The game just sucks and the next sequel will suck 100%. Ultimate Ninja Storm is so sick and im gonna buy it instead of this crap game.

I have recently become a huge fan of the series. I have played earlier games without viewing the show and the games were just okay. Now that I am a serious fan of this awsome anime. i am eagerly awaiting the arrival of this game.

the original sucked in many aspects. most noticeably the sudden battles that took place whenever some bandit jumped out of the bushes. the game totally went from free roam adventure to Mortal Kombat and dead or alive style combat . it was like jumping from 1 game to another........ ingame. wasnt cool at all. besides in free roam naruto cudnt do much other than jump around, sprint, explore and had lame use of jutsus. i was soo hyped when i heard i cud pull of kage bunshin and then in the game its more or less completely useless. no control over the clones watsoever was given to the player.
hope all of these problems have been adressed to ubisoft by gamers. i wan to see this game to become an action adventure more than a vs fighting games. bandai has made loads of those and further more bandais 1s r gr8. rise of a ninja looked awesom. if only the game play mechanics were more fleshed out. the devs shud take a okami like approach.

Yo-gan Since i lack the ability to crap money resulting in me not having a chipped or Japanese PS2 with Japanese games means im not a true fan of Naruto? Your logic confuses me...

There's a difference between owning and playing a game. Also, are you to cheap to buy Swap Magic and the game? It doesn't even cost that much.

I hope there are more enemies. Maybe they made a bunch of clones of thug, thug boss, genin ninja, etc. I mean come on. All the game needs are a few tweeks, more variety, and more variety in the ninja moves.

The first one was a very good game though.

I don't have a clue who Naruto is, other than a snotty little arrogant kid who wears orange pyjamas, but I gotta admit the 360 game was pretty damn good imo Nice mix of a beautifully rendered open world with the usual race/chase/fetch/deliver missions with a lil beat-em-up too. I'll defo be interested in what they do next

    @ Z-Blood,

LOL!!! That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. *sighs* nothings funnier than a fanboy telling another fanboy that he's a fanboy, classic. If you haven't noticed idiot that this article pertains to MS and the Naruto game coming to it so its ok for him to be a fanboy here because its MS based. If it was a Sony related article then that would be intolerable but it's not. You obviously hate the 360 and the Naruto game its getting so how about you stop coming here, ok.

Awesome! Tomy serves me greatly on NIntendo Naruto's. Whereas Namco Bandai fails me on Playstation ones. Ubisoft should do greatly on the second Naruto XBOX 360 game. I haven't played the first one yet, but I want both.

The first one had great potential, but fell short compared to the other Naruto games out there. I hope this time the team thats making this is actually watching the show instead of looking at footnotes. I have high hopes for the PS3 Naruto game, but I will be wary of this title.

i just hope TBB isnt as a pain in da ass as ROAN caz ROAN was just horrible. sorry but 2 me it really was. the fighting 4 me was sooo slow that i just stopped playing in the middle of a battle. the story was fun to play tho. ill give it that. im sorry but i guess im juss the person that enjoys a fighting game that is a fast paced game. and the character roster was horrible. just horrible you have 2 admit that.
