Penny Arcade's Rain-Slick slips to PS3
First installment in episodic adventure-RPG series set for release on PlayStation Network in late fall.
Earlier this year, Hothead Games took PC and Xbox 360 players to the brink of bleakness with Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One. Now PlayStation 3 owners will be able to spend time on the same threshold of murkiness, as the developer today announced that a PS3 edition of the game will arrive on the PlayStation Network in late fall.
Set in an alternate 1920s world of New Arcadia, the game follows Gabe and Tycho of the Startling Developments Detective Agency as they set out to discover the evil machinations behind a sudden preponderance of produce-violating automatons. Penny Arcade artist Mike Krahulik provided character designs and artwork to the development team, while writer Jerry Holkins handled the game's story and dialogue.
When it arrives on the PS3, Penny Arcade Adventures: Episode One will be priced in line with the PC and Xbox 360 editions of the game, which sell for about $20. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's review.
