Midnight Club stalls again

Rockstar 360, PS3, and PSP racer won't brake for announced September release date, blows straight past into October.

Midnight Club: Los Angeles is stuck in the garage for another month. Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar San Diego's anticipated Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 street racer has been pushed back again, this time to early October. Rockstar London's spin-off for the PSP, Midnight Club: LA Remix, has also slipped a month.

Originally set to launch earlier this year, the game was delayed in March and later given a September 9 release date. Take-Two explained that the postponed launch was "to leverage the retail strength leading to the key holiday-selling season, and in order to provide some distance from the release of Grand Theft Auto IV." No reason was given for today's delay.

Midnight Club: Los Angeles features an open world planned to be nearly three times the size of Midnight Club: Dub Edition and full of actual LA landmarks. Keeping faithful to the series, it will also sport customizable licensed cars and tuner parts including rims, tires, and spoilers.

All three editions of Midnight Club are now expected to arrive in North American stores on October 7, with European launches set for October 10.

    i dont really mind about the wait, at the end of the day it means there is more time for them to check everything is right with the game and make some extra tweaks. it just means it's going to be better

    That;s very disappointing but it is only a month.
    I'm a MASSIVE fan of MC but I don't think these new set of Screens don't look that fantastic.
    Hope they tie it up before release.

    Well nothing's wrong with delaying a game to add those final extra touches. However, from the way the article makes it sound the reason for a 3rd delay was never explained by RockStar. Hmm, strange?

    Frankly, I'd be pissed if they where just delaying it for the hell of it--especially if the game really would actually be completed by the Sept. timeframe.

    I'll say it again all developers should take all the time they need in order to release an awesome and complete game. This should be a great racer.

    DUB edition was one of my two favorite street racers of all time (along with NFS Most Wanted). so being a fan of the last game and being from san diego and living in los angeles i will definitely have to check this one out.

    These pre-release dates are so unpredictable... I wonder if RE5 will be pushed back as well even though the date for it fits nicely 5-5-09 =P

    You know you lying, I am a hardcore PC gamer been doing it since Wolfenstein 3D. PC is just majorly flooded with RPG's and FPS's not that it is a bad thing but console games can do it just as well. earlthecannibal
    @bobo3682 --You could name any console game and i could name (in the same category)at least 3 better games on the Pc..let me know when you feel like losing....

    im gonna cry now...in fact im gonna kill someone...i love street racing games and this is the best of all...and the only one left...pro street sucks, driving a pagani zonda in a crappy track its a terrible experience...and juiced 2 its pretty dull...so as the other guy said...keep playin 3 and now im gonna take my zonda to a real street race throughout tokyo...

    Actually a delay in a game never means we'll make it better. It means it's broken and we'll probably release it half fixed. Delays never result in a good game. It usually results in a partially broken game that will have to be "patched" later. Never by that whole, "if you give us more time we'll make the game better." It's never true. A good developer does not announce a release date until they know it's gonna be done. GTA 4 should have had a lot more content for the amount of time they were given. No car customization, a handful of mini games, and the same repeated mission 200 times does not make a 10.
