Crisis Core bundle coming to Europe

Limited edition silver PSP and the final chapter in Final Fantasy VII will go on sale June 20.

When Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII was released for the PlayStation Portable in Japan, the handheld surged to the top of the hardware charts, outselling all the other platforms combined. Even more impressive is that the huge leap in sales came a week before the PSP Slim hit the shelves.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has now announced that there will be a limited edition silver PSP and game bundle available for the region. The Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII PSP features two engravings on the back: the first is the Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary logo, and the second a profile of three of the characters from the game. The PSP plus the game will be retailing at €189.99 (about £150, although the UK price is not yet confirmed), and will go on sale the day of the game's European release, June 20.

Crisis Core is set before the events in the hugely popular PlayStation title Final Fantasy VII. Trainee Shinra soldier Zack Fair is the main character, and characters Cloud Strife, Sephiroth, and Aerith Gainsborough all feature in the back story. to dragonbattousai the japanese bundle DID come with earphones, well at least mine and my friends did. Maybe yours was missing? Quite a few sellers seem to have put the earphones for sale on e-bay i've noticed.

They did a very similar thing for Japan. I'm sure it'll sell well. Still don't understand why these bundles are so region specific...

5-0: For everyone who's complaining about Europe getting the bundles that the US don't get...umm...you've got it the wrong way round. YOU are the people who got the kratos bundle that we don't, and virtually every other bundle that we don't get as well. It's about time they finally released something here. Still needs better games, though.

Yeah, but I still want one.

That's easily the best PSP that will ever be released (until they add two more shoulder buttons and a right analog stick).

@TripSe7en I agree. There are SOME good games out for the PSP, but not nearly enough considering it has had a near 5 year life span so far.... There are not mny killer apps that would drive me to buying the PSP, let alone "new artwork".

    3 1/2, not 5. >_>

Actually the Japanese Bundle didn't come with earphones, just the sword strap, game and handheld. I own it after all

Kinda mad at the news considering the Japanese Versions are all numbered on the back. I wonder if the UK version will do the same or just have them blank.

they didn't say anything about the buster sowrd strap or the special edition earphones that the Japanese version came with. Wonder if they are getting those too? Why didn't NA get one? I would kill for an FF PSP, I wanted to upgrade from my old one to a new slim anyway.

I dont get this, if europe was really gonna be gettin a crisis core psp, why is it that 1. we haven't heard of it earlier, i mean this is the biggest game to hit the psp in a while
and 2. none of the shops online are taking preorders on it.
I bought a psp recently to get crisis core, if i find out they are bringin out a ltd edition psp, its gonna kill me...

The japanese one was also S+L, its basically the same package but without the extras, just the game and console. I think the reason for not including the extras is to keep the Japanese bundle limited to 77,777 units and technically not break that figure.
