Kane's Wrath felt on 360 June 23

EALA's expansion to last year's Tiberium Wars enters mass production for distribution on June 23 for $39.99.

Nearly three months after its PC counterpart invaded retail, Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath for the Xbox 360 is primed to ship out. Electronic Arts today announced that the latest installment in the expansive Command & Conquer franchise has entered mass production, and will ship to retail shelves on June 23 for $39.99.

Though it is an expansion to last year's Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, Kane's Wrath is a stand-alone product, and does not require the original game to play. Kane's Wrath adds 13 missions that complement the storyline from Tiberium Wars, with the focus on Kane, the sinister leader of the underground movement The Brotherood of Nod.

Not simply a port of the PC game, the Xbox 360 edition features the exclusive Kane's Challenge mode, which offers 10 skirmish battles as each of the three factions--the benevolent GDI, the evil Brotherhood of Nod, and the alien Scrin. The 360 game also features a new control scheme that is designed to optimize the user interface in the console edition. Gamers will also be able to take the fight online through Xbox Live in battles for up to four and on more than 50 multiplayer battlegrounds.

While some may have thought that Kane had achieved the pinnacle of creepiness, EA may have discovered a way to make the fictional megalomaniac even more disturbing. Those who preorder Kane's Wrath for the Xbox 360 through GameStop.com will receive a talking Kane Bobblehead doll, while supplies last.

Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath was developed by EALA. For an idea of what to expect out of the console edition, check out GameSpot's review of the PC game.

Richmaester6907 "Hmmmmm PS3 not getting awh I wonder why oh yeah cus the PS3 sells less, has less console sales."
Interesting question. I could just as easily ask, why did anyone ever develop for the 360? The PS2 console sold way more, and moved more software.
Fact is, X-Bots, the PS3 is selling better than the 360 did during the same time frame, has just as many games as the 360 did at this point and is at a higher price and with stiffer competition. The developers see the writing on the wall. The public is adopting Blu-Ray faster than they ever did DVD (look it up, it's true). The only ones really in denial about what the future has in store is those that cling to their console choice like it was a life preserver to a drowning man. Wake up. It's time to move on.

EA, PLEASE dont screw this port or the people who bought it. BFME2 and C&C3 got NO support as well as a game that was gimped out of the box as well a poor framerate. This are games i could max out on my 6600 GT, so there are no excuses!

"I wonder why it is not being released on PS3?"

    1, 360 & PC use 'Vista' OS.
    2, 360 & PC are X platform compatible.
3, Game coding is almost identicle, therefore Devs make game on 1 platform then make minor alterations for the other. Ultimately they only need to 'Build' 1 version of a game.

Im not ranting or anything, it may even boil down to lazyness, who really knows? I also wouldnt be suprised if EA eventually bring it to PS3 (Bioshock anyone?).

Since it's an expansion, I'd like it a whole lot better if it was only $30.

I wonder why it is not being released on PS3? Does that really show that developers are not intrested in the PS3? Xbox 360 all the way.

had it on the PC first so couldnt see the point, PC multiplayer was reallly bad though until about the "Nth" patch made it work (kind of) - does look slightly better on the 360 though if you have HD.

they need to make the controls more like Universe At War. They had the perfect controller set-up for an RTS. C&C is clunky and sensitive. The fact that you have to actually scroll across the map to direct your units is extremely lame. Universe At War lets you enlarge the mini-map for quick movement of troops to distances across the map. The snap feature with the D-Pad in Universe At War makes selecting individual units really quick and easy. C&C doesn't have such a feature.

C&C 3 is nevertheless a really cool game, despite how difficult it is to control everything.

dynomitemasta Actually, the beginning of the end came with Bill Clinton and his great idea to create NAFTA. Brilliance... it's real simple.

Company stops making a product here. Which means employees are no longer employeed here to make that product. Which means the money they were making is NO LONGER going into social security and their wages are no longer being taxed. So, Social Security takes a major hit, the federal income from taxes takes a major hit, and their are less jobs in the country. Then the real kicker, when you send money from one country to another, the value of the currency goes down because they "print" more to replace that. Trade deficiets are were already crippling the country long before Bush, Bill Clintons NAFTA is ruining us in a different way, and THEN finally you can add in the expense of the war.

Far too many people can't see the real picture, the big picture. Meanwhile, no president, not one has ever passed a bill to go to war, or create NAFTA, or whatever.... 51 senators have to do that and the majority of the house. Or 2/3 of the senate and 2/3 of the house can override a presidential veto.

So, if you legally pay off 66 senators spending lets guess 1 mil each with lobyists, and then 500k per congress person... you pass what you want even if the president tried to stop it. So, if that bill, NAFTA in this instance, will allow a company to make more than it costs to buy those votes they'll do it and that bill will pass. Just like NAFTA which is HORRIBLE for the country but still in existence.

As long as the media can keep you focusing on the war... you miss the other major damages going on. President is only a figure head and has very little power.

bad news for ya combatsoldier, . . . it's going to take YEARS and YEARS to get out of the hole Bush dug us into. What I think we are seeing is the beginning of the end. To spend 12 billion a month on a war is killing us. What really kills me is that with 2 or 3 months of spending, we could of fixed education and healthcare in one big swoop. Such a backwards country, . . I pray for the best.

ron i agree with you. paying 60 big ones is just not cost effective to us as a consumer. especially having to support a family with the economical recession that we undergo every day. I just hope that whoever becomes president will fix all this ecoonomical hell that bush has subjected us to. To think he was once my commmander and chief. Any ways to get back on topic. I love games that are normally cheaper when they are released. A 40 dollar price tag is absolutely reasonable. Wait i just remembered this a 360 only for right now. the ps3 version was delayed. that kinda sucks i wanted this one for the ps3. Also i have a question. for these console rts games. are they better for the 360 or ps3 cause i have both and dont know witch system to get them for.
