Lost Planet: Colonies goes gold
Capcom finishes development on budget-priced redux of Akrid-hunting sci-fi shooter for Xbox 360, PC.
Well over a year after its initial release on the Xbox 360, the frozen wastelands of Lost Planet's multiplayer battlefields may be looking a little barren. However, the killing fields may get a little livelier later this month, because Capcom announced today that Lost Planet: Colonies has gone gold for the Xbox 360 and PC.
Colonies adds a number of new features to both the single-player and multiplayer aspects of the game. Solo gamers will be able to play new Score Attack and Boss Battle modes, as well as an Off Limit Mode that gives players overpowered weapons and grappling hooks. On the multiplayer side, Colonies will introduce four maps, 10 weapons, seven game modes, and five new characters (including Dead Rising protagonist Frank West) to the mix.
Lost Planet: Colonies will retail for $29.99 and is scheduled to ship to retailers on May 27.
