Summer 2008 to be Legendary

Spark Unlimited reports that its latest creation is "well on target" for a simultaneous multiplatform release this year.

The game formerly known as Pandora, then renamed Legendary: The Box, and now apparently simply called Legendary, has been confirmed for a release date window during this summer.

The first-person shooter puts gamers in the shoes of art thief Charles Deckard, who accidentally opens Pandora's Box and sets loose the assorted nasties lurking inside. He must then rid the world of the terrifying creatures, including werewolves, minotaurs, and gryphons, he has unwittingly unleashed.

Legendary is being developed by Spark Unlimited and published by Gamecock and will be released simultaneously on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. For more info on the game, check out GameSpot's hands-on preview.

    Yet another run-n-gun FPS???? just 'Mythical' enemies as opposed to soldiers / aliens. Sorry but weres the originality again???

    The story sounds so childish and so typical.
    Its like taken from some 1980 movie

    And i agree with IncipitOmega.
    It would be cooler if you played as a werewolf

    I think this game will FAIL miserably and especially in the PC where are way better FPS to choose from this

    Looks a little iffy to me but..you never know, true the story sounds stupid but there is always room and time to improve it. Its one of those things where it could be good or bad. IMO looks interesting but if it turns out to be another Turning Point, bag it.

    I just don't get it anymore.....why the heck can't one developer in this freakin' world make a game that, let's say....uhhhh.....you're the werewolf ?Would that be so hard ?! Always saving the world.....from murderers and aliens and beasts from hell or another dimension.Well I'm fed up.....I wanna destroy the world for a change,would that be so wrong ?Instead of being the allmighty hero defeating legions,I wanna be the protagonist.In (allmost) every game they lose,why can't we make them the winners every now and then......

    Spark Unlimited has foresaw that the original creatures are the one thing that will make this fps waste much of our money upon .Definitely low investment in the story -Definitely no more than 10 hours of repetitive gameplay. This game will be tolerable enough only for a quick (just to see the end and waste a few bullets upon griffons) finish.I reccomend not buying at all or at least wait until yu get adequate reviews to judge accordingly.

    Another mediocre FPS indeed. Such a shame. Why are great concepts (e.g. all our favourite mythical beasties) always such a flop. I am still holding onto hope with this one, the woodland screenshots are looking sweet!

    Gamecock? am I the only one here that finds that publisher name.. rather disturbing? Anyway, the story to this game sound crap but it looks alright from the screens. I shall demo this before perchase

    I am still not so sure about this game, I will wait a while after it is released to see if I want it, but if it has no Multiplayer then I won't buy it, anyone know is there is any multiplayer?

    It's hard to tell if this game will be any good. Looks good, sounds good, high potential, but will it perform good. I'm not one to judge so I'll have to see when it comes out. I'll give it a chance to grow.

    the name of the game is kind of...atractive. at least, it brought me here. i'll wait to see if the game is good. i hope so, because killing werewolves and other legendary creatures could be a lot of fun!

    This game better offer something new, because 2007 was the years for shooters. Halo 3, Call of Duty 4 is the best shooter in 2007 IMO, Bioshock and Orange Box anyone?
