PSPs will be Buzzing this Spring

Popular quiz game for the PS2 will be coming to Sony's portable, too, with both single- and multiplayer modes.

Buzz has gone to the movies and a junior jungle party, and now the popular quiz game will be coming to the PlayStation Portable as well.

The new game, Buzz! for PSP, will have eight question categories for quiz fiends: Music, TV, Science, Celebrities, Nature, Sport, Movies, and General Knowledge. There will be 5,000 questions in total, along with more than 1,000 pictures and videos.

Buzz! for PSP will have a single-player mode, along with three different multiplayer modes. The first, pass around, uses just one PSP, which gets passed around the group so everyone gets a chance to answer questions. The second, game sharing, allows up to four people to use one copy of the game and four PSPs to play, each buzzing in from their own machine. The final mode, quiz host, sees one player from a group of up to six running the whole game and controlling the number of points awarded for correct answers.

Single-player mode will have 15 different challenges in which players can earn medals and trophies for things like answering multiple questions in a row correctly or having a lighting-quick reaction time.

There will be six new round types for the PSP, too, including Quickfire Challenge, Picture This, and Virus Challenge.

Buzz! for PSP will be coming to Europe, exclusively for the PSP, sometime this spring.

People automtically put this game down because it isn't a shooter or action game or any popular genre. It may be the best game o the worst game, just wait for the review.

Buzz is an appauling game, it's not even fun at all. Putting a already rubbish game to an excellent console is going to ruin Sony. No Buzz=No Fuss

I enjoy games such as this and appreciate the pass around feature and the game share as well, but I truly desire more infrastructure wifi feature. I mean, the Nintendo DS has wifi for their card games (the title escapes me at this moment).
When this game is released I will get it since I am a huge movie geek and my fiance likes this type of trivia game.

Wouldn't this a perfect fit on the Wii? You wouldn't even need the buzzers that come with the PS2 version...just 4 Wii Remotes.

... I thought this was about some sort of PSP rumble feature...
Buzz! Is great because its a great party title, finding people online to play this game will be a nightmare. I have a lot of friends, but unfortunately only two have psp's.
One of which won't even sniff near this kind of game

Another thing which hasn't got me "buzzing" about this announcement is the fact that the psp looks and plays nothing like a buzz controller. That gameshow style and robust feel of the buzzers will be lost on the dinky psp buttons.

Its cool to have something unique, but this probably won't be excecuted very well.
One thing would be cool though - if people could have BUZZ on the ps3, and have a psp on their lap - wirelessly connected - so you could be the question-master and have the questions right there on the psp screen.

I wanna know how "Buzz for PSP" could be anything but exclusive. it's not like "Buzz for the DS" would be on an xbox or anything

Buzz really never hit it off here, but in Europe it's apparently fairly popular.
