Sony announces Pick N Mix PS3 bundle
A new 40GB PlayStation 3 deal offering the choice of two from a selection of 12 games is coming to the UK January 18 for £349.99.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced a new PlayStation 3 console bundle for consumers in the UK.
The original version of the PS3 in the region, the 60GB, was given a price cut just before Christmas--although shortly afterward an announcement was made that the model would be discontinued. A 40GB machine was also announced, sans backward compatibility and other functionality, but with a lower price tag.
Now, for the new year, there's a new bundle for the 40GB model, called the Pick N Mix. The bundle includes a 40GB console, plus two games from a list of 12, for £349.99. The offer will launch on January 18.
The games are: MotorStorm, Resistance: Fall of Man, Genji: Days of the Blade, Formula One Championship Edition, Ridge Racer 7, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Folklore, Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction, Warhawk (with headset), Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and SingStar (with microphones).
The 40GB PS3 has a recommended retail price of £299.99 on its own, with the games on the list costing in the region of £39.99 and £49.99--the most expensive being Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and SingStar with two microphones, for those determined to get their money's worth.
