Third GTAIV trailer debuts

Latest preview, titled "Move Up, Ladies," shows series' violence, humor intact; Seth Green voice talent revealed?

Four months after it was abruptly delayed, Grand Theft Auto IV has resurfaced. Today, Rockstar Games released the third trailer for the forthcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game, which is expected to ship in the second quarter of 2008.

The first trailer for the game, "Things Will Be Different," introduced the revamped Liberty City, which is a near-replica of four of New York City's five boroughs. The second, "Looking for That Special Someone," introduced the game's protagonist Niko Bellic, an Eastern European immigrant whose criminal and military background comes in handy when he enters the American underworld.

Today, Rockstar released the third trailer for Grand Theft Auto IV, "Move Up, Ladies." The spot shows Nico arriving in America to meet with his cousin Roman and encountering a series of characters in bars, pool halls, and strip clubs. After playing up the series' humorous elements and wacky characters, the trailer kicks into high gear, showing car chases and gun battles.

The new trailer also appears to reveal some of GTAIV's voice talent. One of the aforementioned characters--a Caucasian male with a shaved head and a Chinese character tattooed on his chest--appears to be voiced by actor and comedian Seth Green. Though he is famous for his appearances in the Austin Powers movies, Green is no stranger to voice acting, lending his audio talents each week to the animated comedy shows Family Guy and Robot Chicken. He also voices the character of Joker in BioWare's recently released Xbox 360 sci-fi role-playing game Mass Effect.

    I honestly don't understand people's compaints about the graphics. The shot of the helicopter flying over the water looks AMAZING. One thing that does worry me is that this game might take intself too seriously. Sure realism is great, simulation style gameplay is great, but what I love most about the GTA games is their zaininess and almost surreal feel.

    Yeah I wanna play at shooting someone in the face, but I also wanna blast around rooftops in a jetpack. I hope this fun element is still as strong in this game as it is in the others, or I worry it'll get too heavy and depressing to play.

    haha guys don't forget, the graphics that showing u in the trailer on the computer..looks NOTHINGGGG like it would be onthe 360 or ps3 i persnnaly thinkt there gunna be the same graphics but the ps3 mioght win of the blu ray..im not hating on xbox 360 tho i liek the 360 more than the ps3

    Stop grumbling about the graphics, Did you play Gta3, vice city or san andreas because of the graphics? NO! Why? Because GTA series is not about graphics, its all about gameplay and never ending freedom to do what you can't do in real life. This game will break all sales records, and you know it, just like all the GTA series did! GTA forever!

    This is the worst looking game i have ever seen. This looks worst than some playstation 1 games. Syphon filter on the ps1 looks better than this. Rocskstar is the dumbest company i have ever seen produced anything!! Every game nowadays looks f***ing fantastic on the 360 & play station 3. i have never been so disappointed in my whole entire life. i was waiting for this game to come out on the xbox360 so i could buy one as i haven't got one yet because i have to be studying for my exams . I was planning to buy a 360 when this game comes out but I am definetly not going to bother. This is a waste of time & man-hours spent on this game by rockstar. I heard that its going to fit on a normal dvd (4.7 gigs) & not dual layer(9+ gigs).Hence the F***ing crappy quality. That is the stupidest idea rockstar or any person who is not a crack head could EVER come up with.

    I dont think they would ship on multiple discs, and I dont think it would look "way" better. But i have a 360 so...

    i hope that they have good physics, like car crumpling effects and junk everywhere that is affected by the wind of your car driving by. I highly doubt they are 'downscaling' anything for purpose of fitting it on a DVD, because they could always ship on multiple dvd's.

    I guess im probably the only one, but i thought this trailer sucked ass.

    The graphics look vague and crappy and theres altogether to much brown. Now i know they are trying to create a feel with the environment, but there is Gears of War brown, and then theres c grade generic ww2 shooter brown. Its looking more the latter.

    The first two trailers had me excited about the graphics. But now i see unless they plan on doing some polishing, they are going to sit behind the graphical cutting edge.

    Which will no doubt, not hurt the game one bit, as san andreas was the same.

    Dont get me wrong i am heavily anticipating this game and have clocked every GTA to date, starting from pc to playstation and psp.

    Im really hoping for a tighter look and feel to this game departing from the loose and janky feel of the last few.

    It's has not been delayed because of the PS3 it's been delayed because of it now being multi platform... And because they had to downscale the game to fit on a "normal" size Dvd... Either way I don't mind delays anymore as long as the final product is worth it...

    Though there never has been any publicly released information that indicates that the delay was for anything but the PS3 version, your wild unsupported statement may be in fact true. There have been lots of rumors about rockstar adding co-op for up to 16 players on XBL, so the 360 version may well have been sent back for more dev to add this....nothing firm though...only rumors. As for the PS3 version, the extra dev time for that is just simply to get it to run at a tolerable framerate, as it was nowhere close to that at scheduled release.

    ps3 cost the same as 360 now with the extra blue ray and 20GB extra HDD if u consider that every 360 owner will pay for the online xbox live which cost $50.

    360 arcade = $280 with 5 arcade game and 256MB memory card and wireless controller
    360 premium = $350 with 2 games and 20GB HDD
    360 elite = $450 with 2 games and 120GB (and maybe wireless controller not sure)

    u will also have to pay for the wifi(which is around 50-100 USD) for internet and pay $50 for xbox live
    so that like almost $500 for the 360 premium if u want wifi and xbox live to play online! and 650 for the elite, thats with out the HD DVD player which cost another $170!

    ps3 40GB = $400 with 15 blue ray movies or in some places with 2 games and wireless controller and blue ray player and a wifi and free online!

    ps3 80GB = $500 with all the features of 40GB plus a game and 15 blue ray movies or another 2 games(so that 3 games) and complete package with backward compatibility!
    plus ps3 is more powerful at least in the processing department! its has 4 more CPU's than 360!

    "Homerj: No multiplat title has EVER previewed on the PS3, so rest assured, thats the 360 version. Highly unlikely that the PS3 version is anywhere near playable in this early of a stage in the PS3-delay phase of development."

    Can you even read? Every sentence in your link starts off with a " We think". They are speculating that the PS3 is the cause for delay. What has come directly from Rockstars mouths however is that the lack of HDD, and the limitations on space due to the DVD9 are making it more difficult for the 360 version, and limiting the content in the PS3 version.

    Maybe you should look up the word 'confirmed' in the dictionary, all that article's about is an analyst speculating on the delay, no where does it state that he's been in contact with rockstar directly or that he or anyone else has got a firm response as to the subject of the delay...

    Unless Rockstar themselves have said the delay is due to the ps3, why do you all assume that's the reason for the delay? You've probably read some people on a video game website that have blamed it on the ps3, but unless they have official sources from r*, they're wrong

    Wow. This trailer just rekindled my love of GTA. My we've come a long way from top down POVs and needing an acceleration and reverse button just to walk. Must have!
