Harvey Birdman gets Jan. 8 court date

Capcom confirms takeoff for Cartoon Network's avian attorney on PS2, PSP, and Wii.

Last month, Capcom confirmed a delay for Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, the debut game for Cartoon Network's courtroom comedy series. Instead of launching for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, and Wii in mid-November as originally announced, the game was being bumped back to 2008. The stated reason for the change was to avoid some of this year's cutthroat competition on game retailers' new-release shelves.

At the time, Capcom would only confirm a January release for Harvey Birdman, but today a representative nailed down the date, telling GameSpot all three versions of the legal eagle's debut digital outing would launch on January 8. Developed by High Voltage Software (Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude, The Family Guy), Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law is rated T for Teen, and will sell for $29.99 on the PS2 and PSP and $39.99 on the Wii.

Im sure all three versions are the same...but some reason I have to pay ten more dollars to buy it on Wii? THATS CRAP!

Leisure Suit Larry and the Family Guy game? Not exactly star credentials there. If the show's humor stays intact, and Steven Colbert stays on the cast, I might be willing to dish out $30; not before I see some video previews, though.

I thought Capcom was getting sued from the title. I didn't know what Harvey Birdman was before reading this article.

I wonder if this will play as a Phoenix Wright clone or something unique, I really like the show so I have high hopes for the game.

uuugh!. I did not know High Voltage was doing this game. My hopes for a Phoenix Wright quality game have now been beaten to a bloody pulp and left for dead.

I don't exactly understand why a game like this would be 10 dollars more on the wii. It is most likely going to be identical to the Ps2 version, save for a few motion controls.

Why not on the DS where the genre was (partly) born? I don't want to shell out more than 30 bucks for this.

Did they ever say anything about Steven Colbert doing voice acting? I want to know.

Could be interesting. Too bad about the extra $10 on Wii. Manhunt 2, Guilty Gear Accent Core, and Rampage Total Destruction are a few other games like that.
