Renegade Kid lassos Project M

Dementium: The Ward creator signs with Mastiff for second game on the Nintendo DS.

In the spirit of the season, Renegade Kid's horror-themed shooter Dementium: The Ward is being released today on Nintendo's family-friendly handheld, the DS. Although the jury is still out on whether Dementium will make a killing, the upstart developer is already gearing up for its second project, operating under the working title Project M.

Interestingly, Renegade Kid won't be returning to extravagant fringe publishers Gamecock Media Group for Project M. Instead, the Austin-based developer has signed with Mastiff to publish its newest DS offering. Most recently, Mastiff released Falcom's action role-playing game Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure for the PlayStation Portable. The publisher is also signed on to publish RED Entertainment's No One Can Stop Mr. Domino! sequel, Mr. D Goes to Town (working title) for the Wii.

Project M has not yet been rated, dated, or priced.

Dementium was sweet and it ran nicely, hopefully this is another shooter (it doesn't say) and another horror would be nice but not neccasary. Just hoping they spend more time on a story line though and it will be great!!

From what I heard about the ward it's nice to have them making DS games.

I like the look of Dementium, it's the one thing the DS is missing: A good horror title added effects with headphones should make for extra eerie-ness. Good to see there going to do another title.

I thought this game was due out at some later time, but it's good to know it's out now. I might just hit up the game store on the way home and pick it up.

    Mr.Domino!

I just saw realized the existence of such a game for the first time on the recent season finale of button mashing.

I'm amazed such a game is having a sequel... on the Wii no less.
