Hell's Kitchen getting game reduction

Ludia to fry, sauté, julienne Fox's abuse-driven cooking reality show for multiple gaming platforms.

Oh, to be one of those poor saps on the wrong end of one of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's fiery tirades! Don't fret, soon anyone with some extra cash to drop can be one of those helpless culinary novices getting a verbal beatdown from the famous chef...in their own living rooms.

Montreal-based gamemaker Ludia today announced that it has signed a deal with television production company Granada America and is taking Fox's reality show Hell's Kitchen interactive. The video game will be available next year on "all major platforms including PC, console and mobile." Ludia is targeting the premiere of the fourth season of Hell's Kitchen for the game's debut.

Ramsay will be lending his voice and likeness to the game, which should give gamers a good target to throw their controller at when he tells them their soufflé tastes like cow excrement. The game will also have some of Ramsay's favorite recipes, which can be printed out (presumably only in the PC version).

Hell's Kitchen is a reality show which pits up-and-coming chefs against one another in a cooking competition. Presiding over the show is Ramsay, a former soccer phenom and hotheaded, expletive-spewing maniac who just happens to be one of the UK's most popular men in the kitchen. Ramsay has leveraged his fame into other shows, including the new Kitchen Nightmares.

This is either going to be a crappy "Diner Dash" re-make with Gordon's ranting voice-over or a crappy "Sims/Restaurant Tycoon" remake with Gordon's ranting voice-over.

I remember how pissed I got playing SWAT from Sierra when the FMV characters would yell at me for not following their crappy instructions. Ramsay would push me over the edge.

Ramseys outbursts are not actually planned, its more about the "heat of the moment", its funny to watch then.
But if he plans out the curses, its just going to be silly.

I would love to have a hells kitchen game where you assemble a group of chefs, and you have to insult them to victory!!

You use a microphone (like the singstar one ) and you basically use all the nastiest replies known to man to win!

"Thats not soup, thats vomit!" won't be enough for you to beat the game, do YOU have the vocabulary (or lack of) to make it as the top chef in the world? Get hells kitchen the game! lol

You spoke too soon GS. Don't forget, the PS3 has a printer function... that has gone completely unused until now since the update. Maybe this could finally be some sort of use for it... still the fact that you can is kinda cool. The 360 can't use printers, right? (being made by Microsoft, that makes no sense, but whatever.) This could be mildly amuseing with Gordon's ranting but we'll see... What's up with all the ////////////////////////////////////// slashes in the title?

The only way you could get me to buy that game is if it has a mini-game where you can punch him over and over! I can't stand that rat.I've heard that on his British version of the show that he isn't that much of a prick. They say he was told to spruce it up for the American audiences?? Lets just put his face on that Cookin Mama game for the Wii and get it over with.

I don't need Gordan Ramsey spewing expletives at me on my computer. I'm married, that's enough abuse for one man right there. I do love Gordon though. I'd love for him to do my job for one week.

I would rather play a "Kitchen Nightmares" sim where we had to solve problems with a kitchen and try to turn it around, but I will definitely watch this game.

Well it would be interesting to see how the rating system would work. An even bigger plus is not matter how well you cook, he'll still rip you a new one. Gordon Ramsey's da man.

Odd. I can now imagine a Cooking Mama clone except when you lose the game swears angrily at you. I can see this being fun on the Wii or DS assuming it uses their features but on the PS2? or 360? etc.

note to Tim Surette: the last paragraph ought to be the first, not many know what the h*** is h***'s kitchen. it can happen on the Wii, seems that's the cooking-sim-games developers' choice platform.

I think he's funny to watch but I don't see how it's going to translate into a good game. Good luck but I just don't see a full priced game heck even a reduced priced 39.99 game being any good for the money.

My girlfriend will want to get this one once it settles in I'm actually not joking, they really are making the game.
Great thing is people that only see Gordon on commercials yelling don't really get insight into his methods, which work really well in the kitchen. The guys actually a culinary genius, probably works harder than 99% of the people on this thread (including myself) and just trying to improve American food and other countries views of American food. Which we really need.
