Bath, 17th September 2007 –Lexicon Entertainment, a leading publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment software for video game console systems and personal computers world-wide, is pleased to announce the signing of Toy Shop for Nintendo DS which is one of a number of titles aimed at families and youngsters. Classified as a management simulation, Toy Shop allows young players to actually manage, look after and run their very own shop!
It begins as two brothers excitedly find out that they have the opportunity of taking over their grandfather's business – the making and selling of toys!
Players will be able to experience the delights of creating their very own toy empire through decision making and thinking ahead. Following their activities during the first 3 years of their new venture, you will not only discover secrets of the town where you live, but also about its inhabitants and their colouful lives!
Toy Shop has been created to be fun, intuitive and easy to understand.
Toy Shop is divided into three different gameplay styles/phases. STORE MANAGEMENT – where the player must take advantage of the space available to maximize the amount of toys on display and give customers what they want. Selecting the right prices to entice the customers, whilst also ensuring sales of all the merchandise are just a few of the tasks on hand. Decorating the store for Halloween, Christmas and other themed events to generate interest is also part of the job description.
TOY RandD - allows you to build toys to keep the shop supplied whilst you must also ensure you know what the customers want. Balance your resources, creating and developing new toys, could pave the way to success. A 'tech' tree featuring dozens of toys to research and build, some of which are only unlockable through special in game events, ensures ongoing fun, progression and challenges!
EXPLORING THE TOWN – a variety of places to visit and characters to meet in this large 3D world. Take part in side quests and events and feel part of the bustling town community!
