Game looks cool but the game footage is not good as it was in 2005 trailer beacuse in the last trailer the character models, smoke effect & explosions are very realistic & very detail. So I am disappointed

i think killzone looks more impressive technically (visually etc) so will seem really cinematic which is great. However halo 3 content looks more fun to play so it seems like its gonna be a good battle

i reckon killzone 2 might take it cause a lot of halo 3 content is passed on from halo 2.

i really feel sorry for the ps3 fans this game probaly wasnt even running of ps3 hardware when it comes out dont be surprised if it doesnt look nearly as good as the demo [and im not a fanboy] most likely killzone 2 is gonna flop like the first one did it will be a middle weight shooter and wont be able to hang with bigger titles like bioshock halo 3 and mgs4

no yuck_too the trailer was shown a day before sony's conference. at sony's conference the guy with the controller was the director of guerrilla and he did a short level walkthrough. there both same escept when the ship lands you get off and start fighting for a bit.

if you ask me they achieved about 80% of what they were going for with the target render, and thats still REALLY good. it easily outclasses Gears of War (i have gears running on a 42" 1080p LCD so ive seen it at its best) in terms of looks (higher poly. count for characters, amazing gunshot wound physics, amazing lighting, lots of action on and in the background of the levels,more realistic character movement, and better textures), now how well it plays is the deciding factor for this game, it looks and sounds incredible and i really hope they have the gameplay to match. its good to see sony delivered with killzone 2 (from a looks perspective). with killzone 2, lair, heavenly sword, unreal tournament III, gran turismo 5, uncharted and a multitude of others ill definately being staying busy over the next year (including all the 360 games i plan to get). 2008 will be a VERY good year for games.

Well at least they are taking their time with this game and not rushing it.

Well if the only half decent shooter on my console was a sad Half Life 2 wannabee (Hello Resistance) I'd get pretty excited about this as well... but having seen better shooters on other consoles and been unfortunate enough to have played Killzone, the word that springs to mind is just... meh!

I just dont trust sony anymore.lol if they had told us the nature of the 2005 trailer then that would be fine.but instead they led us astray.lmao the graphics are average but although the game play looks prety good.

Lol ok i love people you all are funnny. The game isn't coming out tommor its a year away the first thing they did was one level 5 min long all real time rendered. Sence then they are doing every single level now they are moving into re rendering it. you never do full blown 16x AA and all that in Beta. So now they are onto Rendering new models shadows bump mapping, MP More from Folley theres a lot more that goes into this crap then most people think and the thing i just mentioned can take up just 8 months on there own to get perfect at this stage they are in. then you have Glitches that need fixed then u need to get what you think is a final product and have the beta testers go at it. And they have to do every thing they think they can do in the game and make sure your not falling through a wall if you take cover behind that door or w.e the case may be. So thats what they are into and i don't expect to hear the release date confirmed until Q2 of 08 maybe they will give us one at Q1 but it will be much later in the quarter. So every one can be quite and just enjoy how it looks so far. which its looking pretty dang good for how far it has yet to go. And when they are done with that stuff they have to figure out what BLuray they will put it on 25 or 50 and no there isn't that much of a price difference its 2 bucks a disk in bulk but it is a lot when you look at the few million you have to get. So will see what happens how long it is and how much space it takes up.

LOL, another delay. The way I see it the problem with pushing titles back is because technology jumps so fast, suddenly the ground breaking games are no longer "ground breaking". So basically, nothing great to look forward to in 07 if you own a PS3, right? Well, at least the Bluray movies seem to becoming more available.

The first trailer looks graphically better than this one. Just look at the level of detail in the facial animations ect. and that trailer came out 2 years ago. So I guess all this video does is confirm they lied when they said that first trailer wasn't pre-rendered.

I love how everyone is saying this is gonna Halo's throne. KillZone sucked, and yes, I DO have a PS2, I have played it.

However, I do like the newest trailer, rendered or not.

I just watched the KZ2 trailers and all you anti-Sony hating Microsoft 360 fanboys who say that it is "not impressive" are just plain CRAZY. Your just out and out INSANE. This game is super high poly, massive high res textures, insane particle effects, out of control physics, and obviously great AI. Not impressive? You who say that will either say anything bad about Sony for any reason or are just plain old delusional. Lets just hope that the gameplay is up to par with the graphics. And if KZ2 looks this good, imagine KZ3! :p

And I still maintain today that Halo is one of the worlds most over rated games in the history of video games. It was good, but for FPS's, well, Half Life owned Halo in every way. And Half Life 2 owned both of them put together.

Why get hype over games coming out next year and in 2009... with games getting delayed like crazy. I like that MS focus on games coming out in 2007 ... Sony is trying to keep their PS3 fans happy with something. I have nothing against PS3 (the high price is still the reason i don't have one yet) if Killzone 2 turns out the that great game that great.

I enjoyed the first Killzone when there was nothing better to play on the PS2. It wasn't great, but it had some neat ideas and setting. "Halo killer" was a silly notion then and it still is today. People who love Halo are going to have a hard time when the game is released this fall and turns out to be "Halo 2.5"...but that certainly won't make Killzone 2 the end all, be all. Most FPS's for consoles these days look as good as the video provided here, and if there's a good game for the PS3, Sony fans should just be happy. Besides, graphics will get to the point to where game play will be all too important. There will be plenty of great games for all the consoles, and the exclusives are becoming fewer and far between these days...hopefully they will eventually become extinct and shut the fanboys up.

I still don't understand what all the hype on this game is. I watched E3 on T.V. and they even said that Killzone 1 was not all that great. It was average at best. It may look pretty, but if game play is like the original, then this game is just going to be eye candy.

That pre Alpha demo of KZ2 looked far better than what we have seen from Halo3, or GeOW.......and its pre-alpha!! Its pure comedy hearing all the xbots down this game, yet when Halo3 was first shown they were all.......but its not finished......they just want it to play good..........who cares about GFX, its about gameplay.......then when the GFX look a little better.......WOW look at HAlo3, it owns. Now we clearly have a much better looking game than anything we have seen, and its bashing time. Hell HAZE looks better than Halo3. It may not play as well...we will see, but it for sure looks better right now. And GT5 made Forza2 and PGR look like Excite Bike.
