Before buying a car, potential customers are generally allowed to take autos out for a test spin, and Microsoft is bringing that same "try before you buy" mentality to its driving games.

Microsoft Game Studios today confirmed that a demo of the upcoming racer Forza Motorsport 2 is coming to Xbox Live Marketplace "soon." That's all the publisher would admit, though, as details of the test drive's contents and release date will be revealed over the next coming weeks. The company also pinned down the game's release date to May 15.

In addition, the Forza team released the latest wave of cars that will be featured in the game. Covering the aftermarket tuners category, the list features several rides such as a 2002 Honda Mugen Integra Type-R, a 2003 Ford FocusSport SVT Focus, and a 2003 Mitsubishi Sparco Lancer Evolution VIII. A full list of the newly announced cars is below. For the entire list, head over to the Forza Motorsport Web site.
