GCDC sets dates for August

Leipzig, Germany-based event for game developers and the industry confirms 2007 dates.

The fifth GC Developers Conference will take place August 20-22, 2007. It will feature "a full schedule of exciting and informative sessions covering a wide variety of subjects" on August 20 and 21 and specific technical lectures on game development on August 22.

The GCDC takes place just before the Leipzig Games Convention, which will be held from August 22-26 in the same complex.

No speakers have yet been announced for the event--previous speakers have included Peter Molyneux, Bob Bates, Louis Castle, Will Wright, and Bill Roper.

Last year there were 662 participants from 26 countries, including 104 media representatives, which was a significant growth of almost 50 percent on 2005.
