TMNT demo slicing up PCs
Ubisoft releases time-limited PC sample of game starring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; 253MB file now available from GameSpot.
Gamers who love testing out games for free are in luck. Gamers who love testing out games based on pizza-eating, adolescent, radioactive, terrapins skilled in martial arts are in even more luck.
Ubisoft today released the PC demo for TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), which is now available for download from GameSpot. The file is 259MB in size and gameplay is limited to an undisclosed amount of time.
The game, based on the upcoming TMNT movie, will be released in March on the PC, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, GameCube, and Game Boy Advance. Players will acrobatically bounce around the game's levels a la Prince of Persia while taking on the Foot soldiers and several enemies from the TMNT movie and comics.
The PC version of the game is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older. For more information, read GameSpot's previous coverage.

I played the demo and was upset, they need to quit making half baked games and release all the original games as they were in the past. Make it a collection pack, that will give the series a needed boost, while they get their act together and make a new game that everyone can be proud of.

The demo was disappointing. The graphics were pretty solid, but gameplay seems iffy at best. here's hoping that the final version isn't like this.

I wish they would have busted out and made a 4 player beat-em up like in the arcade. Turtles in Time had to have eaten at least 50 bucks in quarters from me. Ahhh..those were the days.

I hope its more like the 1st ps2 game and not like the last 2. The 1st felt more like the original games in 3d. But with switching characters it sounds like the last 2. Hmmmm ill wait till demo is on xbox live.

So this game is intended for kids, or it will be enjoyable for adults too?

Can't really say much on the demo, since it was timed and not much going on for it. But I did like what I saw. Fighting was fun, changing the turtles in middle of your actions and helping to do different moves was fun. Hope the full game has co-op support.

Just downloaded and played the demo for a bit. Runs like a charm on a good PC. Gamepad support is excelent (good job Ubi). The only thing is why is the game only in widescreen?

I just downloaded it and I must say I'm pretty disappointed. The fighting is pretty dull and not enough of it, too much acrobatics. Yeah you could argue that they're "ninjas", but to me they're not as great as they were back in the 80's.

It's Ubi Montreal. You know at minimum it's gonna be competent, stable and probably nice to look at.

Its like Prince of Persia with TMNT. It feels better than Konami's last few Turtle outings, but this game would be so much better with 4 Player multiplayer.
