PSP gets firmware update, Killzone demo
Sony tweaks system's Web browser and sound setting options, promises more trial versions of games on the way.
Sony is constantly tweaking and tuning the firmware for its PlayStation Portable, and today the company announced the availability of another update to its handheld system. According to Sony, PSP Firmware 3.10 includes a "conserve memory" option for the system's Internet browser and an automatic volume adjuster in the sound settings to compensate for differing audio levels in movies, games, music, and other sources.
In addition to the firmware, Sony released a 25.4MB demo for the PSP third-person shooter Killzone: Liberation and promised that more first- and third-party demos would be released on an ongoing basis. In the coming weeks, Sony expects to offer demos for Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 2. To download the demo, check out the PSP Web site.
