Sonic rolls to Wii early
The iconic hedgehog's debut on Nintendo's new console coming a week early; Sonic and the Secret Rings now shipping on February 20.
There's good news and bad news for those who can't wait to give the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog game on the Wii a spin. The bad news is they'll still have to wait. The good news is they won't have to wait as long.
Originally scheduled for release on February 27, the Wii-exclusive Sonic and the Secret Rings will now ship to stores on February 20. The game was announced at the 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo under the name Sonic Wild Fire.
Sonic has already burned up next-generation consoles with the aptly named Sonic the Hedgehog. The game makes its way onto the PlayStation 3 this week and debuted on the Xbox 360 last November to poor reviews.
Sonic and the Secret Rings is rated E for Everyone and will retail for $49.99. For more information, read GameSpot's previous coverage.
