UK game charts: January 20-27
Lost Planet shakes off The Burning Crusade to rediscover the top slot, while football titles continue to prove popular.
It was all change at the top of the UK all-formats chart for the week of January 20-27 as Lost Planet: Extreme Condition found its way back to number one. The previous week's top achiever, Blizzard's World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, slipped down to five, while football titles FIFA 07 and Pro Evolution Soccer 6 took second and third, respectively.
Wii Play rose seven places to four, although the other Wii-exclusive title, WarioWare Smooth Moves, dropped to six. World Snooker Championship 2007 (World Pool Championship 2007 in the US) fell one place to seven, and Need for Speed Carbon did likewise, dropping to eight.
Another title that did well was the animated movie tie-in Cars, which found its way back into the top 10 this week in ninth place. Call of Duty 3 rounded things off at 10, down two from last week.
There were no new entries inside the top 40 this week, but there are a handful of titles that should make some impact on next week's list. These include strategy game Europa Universalis III, arcade classics bundle Sega Megadrive Collection (Sega Genesis Collection in the US), and Atari's game version of the Arthur and the Invisibles film.
