Battlestations: Midway demo touches down Thursday
Sample of Eidos' WWII game hits XBL this week; sneak peek available during GameSpot's live developer interview tomorrow.
A Crackdown demo may not be coming to Xbox Live this week as originally planned, but that doesn't mean Xbox 360 owners will head into the weekend without free samples. Eidos Interactive has confirmed to GameSpot that the demo for the Xbox 360 game Battlestations: Midway will be landing on Xbox Live Marketplace this Thursday.
The demo concentrates on the multiplayer portion of the World War II vehicular-combat game. There will be one multiplayer map--Island of Solomon--which pits the American forces versus the Japanese forces. In order to win, gamers must wipe out the opposition's naval base, air base, and aircraft carrier.
Those who want to check out the demo a day early can tune into GameSpot tomorrow for a live, exclusive interview with the game's developers. GameSpot subscribers will be able to participate in a live chat with the Eidos team during the interview. As extra incentives, the first 50 gamers to tune in get a Battlestations: Midway calendar and those who watch will get a new emblem for their GameSpot profile.
GameSpot's interview with the Battlestations: Midway team begins tomorrow at 4 p.m. PST. For more information or to tune in, head over to the event's information page.
Battlestations: Midway will be released on January 30.
