Capcom exec leaves to join Rockstar

Gary Dale rejoins Take-Two Interactive family as chief operating officer at Rockstar Games; exec helped launch original GTA.

Former Take-Two Interactive executive Gary Dale has returned to the company as COO of Rockstar Games after leaving less than three years ago to become European managing director for Capcom.

Dale was president of the interactive software and video division of BMG Entertainment from 1994 to 1998, when the company was taken over by Take-Two Interactive. In his five years at Take-Two he oversaw the release of more than 30 games, including the original Grand Theft Auto.

The move is effective today. Dale commented, "Having been involved in the formation of what later became Rockstar Games, I am now thrilled to become a member of the team at such an exciting time."

Rockstar Games' next high-profile game is Grand Theft Auto IV, which is set for release October 16 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

I would like to see a realistic GTA where every house in the game is explorable and maybe after a chase you can hold out in one while cops surround the place and sound effects of heli copters out side. After a few shots out the window you find an escape route and get out of their....now to find a way to clean your name. Thats what I want to see out of GTA4 as realistic as a movie. I would also like to see a change on how missions are triggered.

I hope the next GTA actually has good graphics for once. If it dose have great looking graphics then the Xbox 360 version will look better as it is superior to the PS3.

does anyone else find it odd that since GTA4's announcement at E3 2006, 8 months ago, and only 9 months till launch, we have yet to see anything about GTA4, not even one screenshot?

they have to change the game engine didnt you guys hear renderware was bought by the megacompany EA which a few years ago was seriously big competition for rockstar games....and if rockstar used the same game engine they would have to pay EA royalties n such...

But anyways since EA sold the rights for 007 to the tonyhawk people ......most of there games are average or below...
The sims is good and i think battlefield something somthing

but i just got BULLY, GTA vice city stories and there side divison 2kGames is also doing good, Oblivion it was really funny that rockstar despises microsoft so they made a ping pong game .. too laugh at them ...the only reason rockstar even puts up with microsoft is cause there chitting money but in 2008 bill gates will retire and the downfall will start and linux and mac ox will prevail

Capcom Europe is pretty horrible to bring thier games here and the do poor job at marketing, i never new than DMC 3: SE just came couple of month ago, and i will never know when Okami and God Hand will come out unless i do reasearch on them.
and did i mention how lifeless the boxart of Pheonix Wright is?

Well I hope that mean they will make an intierely new 3D engine, or upgrade A LOT the last one. The GTA 3 graphs were good when it first came out, but they kinda suck now... That are not really bad... but well.. it's too oudated now.
