Dozens added to 360 backward-compatibility list
Rumored Psychonauts and Shenmue II included in the latest round of original Xbox titles enabled for play on the Xbox 360, along with a couple of surprises.
Microsoft today released an updated backward-compatibility list for the Xbox 360 featuring 37 more Xbox games that are now playable on the company's newest system. While all of the anticipated titles mentioned in a version of the list that leaked out earlier this week were indeed in the final update, there were also a couple of additions.
Among the more notable games on the list released today are Psychonauts, Shenmue II, Dead or Alive Ultimate, Indigo Prophecy, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, Scarface, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and Ultimate Spider-Man. However, there were also a few new faces in Soul Calibur II (but only for North American 360 owners) and Conker: Live and Reloaded.

Upon finding out that Psychonauts was included in the update, the game's lead designer Tim Schafer said, "It looks official! Yeee haw!" And added: "I want to thank all the fans who mailed Microsoft on our account! It wouldn't have happened without them!"
